How to Create an Amazon Storefront as an Influencer
How to Sign Up to Be an Amazon Influencer
Head to this website to sign up to join the Amazon Influencer Program. The Amazon Influencer Program is a separate program for content creators and influencers alike. If you have a strong social media presence on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or even Facebook, then you should consider applying to join the Amazon Influencer Program.
Amazon looks for evidence of a strong following and strong engagement on your social media channels to consider your application for this program. It can take a few weeks for Amazon to accept your application to join their influencer program as they need to verify your social following first.
There is no set amount of followers that you need to join this program. I would say if you have a growing and engaged following of at least 1,000 followers then you may want to apply for the program. Microinfluencers and macroinfluencers alike have been accepted to the program.
How to Build Your Amazon Storefront
Once you’ve been accepted to the Amazon Influencer Program you are given a storefront and personalized URL. My Amazon Storefront URL is www.amazon.com/shop/affordablebyamanda. You now have a blank canvas to start posting images, videos, and idea lists for other people to click on and shop through.
Consider your brand niche: What types of products you want to include on your Amazon Storefront? For me, I am a fashion and beauty influencer so my Amazon Storefront consists of mainly affordable fashion and beauty products.
Tips to Set Up Your Amazon Storefront
- Head to “Manage My Storefront” once you’ve logging into the Amazon Associates portal.
- Scroll down until you see a spot to add a photo and header.
- Add a Profile Photo
- Include a brief bio and description of your brand. I also include my TikTok and Instagram handles in my storefront bio for my followers to see more content from me.
- Add a header image to the top of your storefront.
If you are a home decor influencer then you should gear your storefront in this direction by including home decor idea lists and uploading home decor content.
You can start building your Amazon Storefront by creating “Idea Lists”. I have a lot of specific Idea Lists on my storefront like “Workout and Fitness” and “Fall Fashion 2022”.
How to Create a New Idea List
- Head to “Your Account” tab under “Account & Lists”.
- Click on “Your Lists”.
- Hover to “Your Idea Lists” on the top of the page.
- Where it says “Need some Inspiration?” click on +CREATE NEW IDEA LIST
Add products to your Idea Lists by scrolling down to about halfway on the product page and finding the “Add to List” link. The more products you add to your idea list the more opportunities you have to receive commission on these items. On each of my idea lists I try to include a minimum of 10 products.
Step-by-Step Guide to Posting Content To Your Amazon Storefront
- Visit the Amazon.com website and go to your storefront page.
- Click “Create content” in yellow to start a new post.
- Use a photo or video from your phone to post on your Amazon Storefront.
- Choose your image or video and tag products that are part of it.
- Browse Amazon for similar products or take products from one of your Idea Lists.
- Add relevant hashtags to your post like “#founditonamazon” or “#amazonfashion” for other people to find it.
What Types of Content Should You Post To Your Amazon Storefront?
Creating a variety of different types of content can further your earning potential with Amazon. As a fashion blogger, I am someone who uploads a fair share of outfit ideas as well as styled collages filled with Amazon products. Try not to limit yourself to one type of content. I think you will find the most success by changing up the types of content you create for Amazon.
Just like on Instagram Reels and TikTok, videos are excellent ways to attract attention to your Amazon Storefront. I will record myself wearing an outfit with Amazon pieces and upload it to my storefront. Some of my videos show up on the page of a product which can entice people to make a purchase.
Not a fashion blogger? No problem! I’ve noticed a huge increase in users creating short-form videos sharing their favorite home gadgets from Amazon. These users don’t even need to share their faces in the videos, but rather direct all of their attention to showing how a product works in real life.
How to Publish the Best Content to Your Storefront
I want to share some insight on how to post clear, high-quality images and videos to your storefront. Personally I rely on my iPhone 12 for images and videos. I will take photos with my camera and keep the settings on 4K so my images are clear and look professional. In terms of photo editing, I use the Tezza App to slightly brighten and edit my photos before posting to my Amazon Storefront.
As for videos, I also shoot my content in 4k at 60 fps. If I want to include a few clips together I use the app InShot to edit my video before posting to Amazon. I wouldn’t suggest copying your videos from TikTok and uploading to Amazon. You should remove any watermarks from TikTok or Instagram prior to posting to Amazon because your video could get flagged. Simply head to the website SSSTIK.IO to remove these watermarks. Download your watermark-free video and upload it to Amazon.
Amazon Livestreams
I am fairly new to uploading Amazon Livestreams to my storefront, but I have seen a lot of success with this tool! First, download the Amazon Live app to your phone. With this app, you can easily log into your Amazon account and start streaming from your storefront.
I will create a cute graphic using Canva to highlight what I am going to talk about on my Amazon Live. For example, I recently covered Fall Capsule Wardrobe essentials and I included a photo of myself wearing an Amazon turtleneck sweater to entice people to watch.
After you create a graphic for your live stream you are able to pick products that you plan on mentioning from your idea lists or just from browsing on Amazon. As a fashion blogger, I will include a mix of tops, bottoms, accessories, and other items that I’ve purchased on Amazon to talk about during my live stream.
Tips for a Successful Livestream
The act of live streaming can feel overwhelming and scary at first! I remember clicking “Go Live” for the first time and immediately freaking out inside. To prepare myself for a good live stream I will grab a bottle of water, set up all of my items close by, and remember to take deep breaths.
Make sure you are set up with good lighting. I usually sit in front of a large window for the best natural lighting. For filming I use my iPhone 12 and a tri-pod. You can choose to film vertical or horizontal.
Remember to interact with anyone who watches your livestream. Tell your audience to click the “Follow” button to follow your storefront. Engage with your audience in the comments section of your livestream. Ask your audience questions and interact with the comments section as your livestream goes on.
Now that I have finished a few live streams I feel more confident sitting in front of the camera chatting to the screen.
Levels of Amazon Livestreams as an Influencer
Rising Star
Everyone starts out as a Rising Star as an Amazon Livestreamer. This is the first level of livestreaming. Your Amazon followers receive notifications of a new livestream in progress. You can start earning commission on sales from your livestream.
Insider
The next tier of livestreaming is Insider. Now your livestreams can appear on the top of the Amazon Live site which gives you great traction to draw in new people to watch you.
A-List
As an A-Lister you have all of the benefits of Rising Star and Insider levels in addition to special access to Amazon Live events and opportunities.
Creating a Product Link on Amazon
If you are logged into your Amazon Associates account, then SiteStripe should show up as you search for products. SiteStripe shows up as a toolbar to help you “Get a Link” for a product. You can easily generate a link to an item by pressing “Text”. Now you have a direct link to the product page to share on your social channels and earn commission on.
Sharing Your Storefront to Make Sales
After you have set up your Amazon Storefront with a few Idea Lists and shoppable photos, it’s important to share your storefront on your social platforms. A lot of TikTok users will have their Amazon Storefront linked on their profiles. TikTok is a huge money maker for a lot of creators. It’s a good idea to include a direct link to you Amazon Storefront page.
If you have a large following on Instagram you should add a link to your storefront in your profile. On Instagram, I suggest reminding your followers to follow your Amazon Storefront for all of your top product suggestions on Amazon. Add a few Instagram Stories throughout the month reminding your followers to check out your Storefront.
Easy Ways to Share Your Amazon Storefront
- Add your Amazon Storefront URL to your TikTok page
- Add your Amazon Storefront URL to your Instagram bio
- Create a “Link” sticker on an Instagram story and link to your Amazon Storefront page
- Include a link to your Amazon Storefront on your YouTube channel
How to Earn Commission As an Amazon Influencer
Everything from photos to Idea Lists are able to be monetized for you to earn commission. When someone clicks on a product on your storefront and makes a purchase it will show up as a sale under your Earnings tab. When a follower clicks on one of your links, it means you can earn commission on any of their future sales for a full 24-hours.
The commission you receive from a sale depends on what type of product you promote. Clothing and fashion items from the Amazon brand are up to 20% while regular clothing purchases are close to 10% in commission.
Tracking Your Sales in the Amazon Influencer Program
To view your Amazon sales head to the “Earnings Report” tab inside the Amazon Associates dashboard. You can see your “Total Earnings Summary” which combines sales you’ve made both on-Amazon and off-Amazon.
There’s also a way you can see a detailed reporting of sales under the “Earnings Report” tab where you can toggle through to see individual sales based on Tracking ID or date. Click on”Shipped” under the “Consolidated Summary” box to get a more detailed reporting. Then you can click on “Ordered Items” to toggle through sales based on Ordered Items, Earnings, or Link Type Performance.
How to Receive Payments from Amazon
Once you pass the $100 threshold then Amazon will send you a direct deposit. It takes 60 days for commissions to close out. If you make sales in October then you’ll see your commissions show up in your account in late December.
If an item gets returned then you lose the commission on it. This will factor into your earnings report.
You can also receive gift cards from Amazon if you hit certain goals as part of this program. This is something you need to contact a member of the Amazon Influencer program about. You have to set up an earnings goal with Amazon to receive monthly gift cards.

How do you use amazon products images to make a collage? Isn’t that against amazon affiliate policies and could get my account banned? Or is it only allowed for amazon influencers? I’ve seen alot of influencers do that and share those collages on pinterest/instagram and I’d love to do that but terrified of jeopardizing my amazon associates account π plz help..
affordablebyamanda
RoumyAs an Amazon influencer you are allowed to use images for uploading a collage. Not sure how it works for an associate, but I feel like it would be fine. I have to look over the fine print again and I’ll update you.
Thanks!

I am part of the affiliate program but don’t see any option to manage my storefront. It seems like to have a storefront it requires Brand Registry submission, which requires a trademark – and I have no clue how to even approach having a trademark. I am struggling to create a storefront so I can add products I recommend through social media and make some commission. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong π
Andrea
AndreaI figured it out, the link shared was for the Affiliate Program, but the right one is for the Influencer Program. Then all these steps make sense! Finally applied for Influencer program and got accepted.

Do you know of anyone having troubles creating an idea list? Does the list need to be approved by Amazon before you can add products to it? I’m having issues as it’s only letting me save an idea list as a draft, it won’t let me “submit” it and actually create the list. When I go to add products there is no list created, although I hit the “save draft” button. TIA!
affordablebyamanda
LeanneHi! I think it should be easy to make a list it doesn’t need to be approved first
