My name is Amanda and I’ve been blogging here on Affordable by Amanda since my college days at Florida State University back in 2015.

Affordable by Amanda started out as a creative outlet for myself while I attended college in 2015. I began my journey as a blogger with a measly Nikon camera and a tripod. I took to my blog and Instagram social channels to share budget-friendly finds with other young millennial-aged gals!

Currently, I reside in beautiful sunny St. Petersburg, Florida with my boyfriend and our two furry animals, Chance and Simba.

Affordable by Amanda is the creative space I utilize to share all of my daily inspiration (while sticking to a budget, of course!). I hope you enjoy searching my site for helpful articles on style, beauty, and travel anecdotes.

I’ve been lucky to partner with national name brands over the years to turn my side hustle into a money-making career path for myself as an entrepreneur. These days I hold the positions of President of Affordable by Amanda Inc. and Digital Influencer.

When I’m not sharing exciting new skincare products over on Insta Stories, you’ll find me cuddled up on the couch watching Married at First Sight or catching up with the Real Housewives!

On this platform, even after all these years later, I still enjoy sharing affordable clothing, makeup, skincare, and home decor discoveries.

Q: How Long Have You Been Blogging?

A: I’ve been blogging part-time since 2016 and more seriously full-time since 2018.

Q: What Camera Do You Shoot Your Content With?

A: When I choose not to hire a professional photographer (hi, Sara!), I am using my new Canon Mark IV camera body with a standard 50 mm f/1.2L lens. When I don’t use my DSLR I shoot with my iPhone 12. PS:: Honestly, I am so excited to hold my DREAM camera in my hands – it’s one of my favorite investments in my blogging career!

Q: How Can I Shop Your Outfits?

A: Great question for my style lovers! First and foremost, follow me in the free LIKEtoKNOW.it APP, where I tend to post a few times per day on sale, finds, try-on hauls, and more content. I also just updated my entire SHOP page where I not only feature a live look at my current LTK feed, but I list out all of the retailers that I shop at the most in one convenient area.

Q: Favorite Vacation?

A: This is tough to answer because I traveled to a lot of beautiful places in 2018 and 2019. One of my favorite vacations was visiting Bermuda on a family cruise in 2019 because I also brought along my boyfriend, Brian, to hang out together on vacation as a couple for the first time! He also had the opportunity to meet most of my family which was exciting.

Another favorite vacation of mine includes part of my most recent European vacation in March 2019. I’ll always remember traveling to Europe for the first time EVER with my sister and how we traveled across the continent experiencing new things together as sisters. I can’t wait to travel back to Amsterdam one day with Brian, as it was one of my favorite countries that we visited.

Q: How Can I Make Money as a Fashion Blogger?

A: I’ve had quite a few years of blogging under my belt to give advice out to share my personal experiences in the industry.

There are plenty of ways to make money as a fashion blogger! I also recommend doing something called “diversifying your income” to make sure you are seeing a consistent and steady flow of monthly income by having various streams coming in. Q: What do you do in your free time?

A: Well, as an entrepreneur, I have to jokingly respond by saying: What IS Free TIME!? Ha! Honestly, I do take breaks here and there from blogging and social media. When I am taking a break from the Internet world, I am typically watching The Real Housewives on Bravo. Recently, ever since moving in with my boyfriend last year, I’ve been on a cooking journey. I’m usually the one in charge of dinner and Hello Fresh meals have taught me a lot more about cooking a solid meal.
