Why I Rented Silk Flowers for My Wedding from Something Borrowed Blooms
While planning our spring 2025 wedding, deciding on the right wedding flowers came up early as an important topic of conversation. With the spring season in mind, I knew I wanted our wedding florals to reflect a light and romantic theme. Once I chose my bridesmaids dresses as a shade of dusty pink I knew I had to find whimsical pink flowers to continue this same color scheme.
After e-mailing back and forth with numerous local florists my heart sank when quote after quote came in at over $5,000. I knew wedding florals were going to cost a few thousands dollars, but I didn’t think I would ever actually see $10,000 as a floral minimum from some businesses.
This post is created in partnership with Something Borrowed Blooms.
Spending my nights scrolling on Pinterest for wedding inspiration led me to discover the company Something Borrowed Blooms. “A flower rental company?” I asked myself. “Would the flowers even look good in person?” It took me some time to think over the idea of renting flowers for my wedding day. This is arguably one of the most important days of my life. I knew to budget accordingly for wedding day flowers, but as the catering bill and other expenses began to add up, the idea of renting flowers sounded promising.
I ended up ordering the floral preview pack with the stunning Eloise collection to visualize the rented flowers in person. The Eloise collection stood out to me as a top contender because I loved the mix of pink and peach roses, ranunculus, wisteria, and zinnias.
I. Was. Blown. AWAY! How could these silk flowers look SO realistic? Once my preview pack arrived at my house I instantly fell in love with the Eloise collection for my wedding.
In true transparency, I ended up collaborating with Something Borrowed Blooms as part of their influencer program to document the process of ordering and utilizing their rented silk flowers for my wedding. All opinions are my own.
