5 Ways to Grow Your LIKEtoKNOW.it Profile

After spending some time working on growing my own LIKEtoKNOW.it profile, I wanted to write out some tips that I’ve recently implemented to help other rewardStyle bloggers out. I want to write the best practices to teach you how to grow your liketoknow.it profile.

If you are a current rewardStyle blogger who considers herself someone struggling to grow a presence on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, I am here to provide you with 5 ways to grow your LIKEtoKNOW.it profile.

Growing your LIKEtoKNOW.it profile takes TIME! This is not a short cut version to gain thousands of new followers in a day or even a week. On my profile, I don’t have a tremendous amount of followers, but I do have loyal ones and I am slowly gaining more each day. My personal goals with LTK involve growing my profile to reach 10,000 followers by the end of the year!

1. Create Eye-Catching Images in a Collage Format

One of the most important tips for gaining traction on your LIKEtoKNOW.it profile involves creating eye-catching images. Most of the images that upload to my own profile were created in the OVER app where I make collage styles filled with products.

Recently, I decided to make an entire IGTV explaining this process and I’d love it for you to check it out because I dive deeper into the collage making process.

1. Take screenshots of the products you wish to arrange in your collage by visiting the brand’s website for high-quality images to save to your phone.
2. Go to the OVER app and create a new PROJECT where the dimensions are: 1080×1350 (perfect for the LTK app!)
3. Once you have enough screenshots for your collage, go to the OVER app where you can insert each image into your collage.
4. Rearrange the product images to look good in your collage. You may choose to add price points or sale information, too.
5. Include your LTK handle at the bottom of your collage. I always include @affordablebyamandablog in my LTK collages.
6. Hit the YELLOW ARROW at the TOP RIGHT of the OVER app and SAVE your collage image to your phone.
7. Open the rewardStyle app and ENABLE A NEW IMAGE.
8. Choose your collage image and add the product details.
9. Finish the collage by including hashtags and the signature LTK bundle.
10. Share your finished collage to the app!

Tips for Uploading Images that Aren’t Collages

If creating collage images isn’t your thing, be sure to adhere to these tips on uploading the best outfit photos for engaging customers to shop your looks.

1. ONLY share bright photos. 
2. Mirror selfies are great!
3. Include EXACT product details.
4. Include SIZING details on what you have on!

2. Follow Seasonal Trends and Consumer Purchase Behavior

Wondering what type of content to post to engage your current and prospective new followers? Seasonal trends! Right now as we approach July 4th, more users are posting content to adhere to this upcoming holiday.

The app has an influx of red, white, and blue outfit ideas as well as backyard patio home decor for hosting. Stay on trend by posting similar content to your profile. Following seasonal trends can easily increase the number of followers you have because your content appears relevant.

Follow trends based on the season! Fall, winter, spring, and summer all bring new chances to highlight trendy pieces according to the time of year.

With the changing seasons comes changing consumer purchase behavior, too. As we continue to live in a COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve seen an increase in home decor collages featuring Walmart and Target products as well as more people posting where to buy affordable and cute face masks.

Consumers are looking to revamp their outside areas while staying at home and staying safe during the quarantine. Obviously, as influencers, we need to shift our own strategies to include these purchase behaviors based on the times.

3. Include Multiple LIKEtoKNOW.it Sections on Your Blog

A majority of my commissions from rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it come straight from my blog. Yes, I do make a portion of the commission from in-app purchases, but I never neglect my blog because I constantly see a flow of traffic to my site.

• Whenever I post new content to Pinterest, I make sure that my photos link back to my blog so I can see more commission sales on my website. Having a separate section where I share all of my uploaded LTK posts drives visitors to check out.
• You can also see the top right of my website features a “SHOP MY LIKETOKNOW.IT” tab that redirects visitors to my personal LTK page.

• There are separate LTK widgets found on the homepage of my blog, too. I currently have a widget for face masks and one with items from Target. Within most of my blog posts, I also have shoppable widgets where each item that I am wearing in a styled post is linked with a commissionable link.
• I have a page where all of my LTK uploads are automatically added to the “SHOP MY FEED” list. Each image click redirects visitors to shop the picture details! See below:

4. Host/Participate in Giveaways To Gain New Followers

Another way to grow your liketoknow.it profile includes giveaways.

Teaming up with other bloggers/influencers in a similar niche to yours can add more valuable followers to your LTK profile, too. Whether you choose to participate or host a giveaway, be sure to use this fourth tip as another opportunity to spread the word about how people can follow your profile.

• First of all, TELL YOUR FOLLOWERS how they can follow you on the LTK app via Instagram Stories.
• Include a “HIGHLIGHT” saved to your Instagram profile where you show people how to follow you on the LTK app. (Step by Step is KEY!)
• Host your own smaller giveaway on your Instagram Stories by providing a fun incentive like a $50 Amazon Gift Card to one lucky person who follows you on the LTK app.
• Invite a few other rewardStyle bloggers to team up for a giveaway together! Include a page where people can easily follow all of your LTK profiles with hyperlinks.
• Add “SWIPE UP” links in Instagram Stories where prospective new followers can find your profile and hit “FOLLOW”

5. Use Descriptive Hashtags In All of Your Images

Once you have a pretty collage image or a mirror selfie saved to your phone the next step takes you to the rewardStyle app to upload this exciting piece of content! In addition to creating pretty collages and outfit pictures, it’s also important to focus on including descriptive hashtags with each new post.

For example, if you’re sharing an outfit post with a pair of distressed denim jeans on, you need to add relevant hashtags in the caption. Similar to Instagram, the LTK app works as a search engine. Including relevant hashtags will make your brand new content searchable. For distressed denim jeans, you can add something like #rippedjeans #distressedjeans #distresseddenim #denimjeans which are all insanely helpful for people using the app to find distressed jeans.

In the example I provided above you can see how I included several relevant hashtags to my image featuring a collage of Old Navy face masks. Some of the best hashtags for this post on face masks are: #facemask #clothfacemask #etsyfacemasks #facemasks
