How to Create Collages for Like To Know It

My “Blogging Tips” category here on the blog tackles everything from YouTube Growth Strategies to Pitching Brands. I’ve had over 8 years of experience in the blogging and influencer industry that prompted me to start creating free resources to share with other creatives like myself.

In this post, I am sharing how to create collages for Like To Know It. Ever since my acceptance to this platform over 3 years ago, I’ve had success converting product collages into sales. On average I post anywhere between 4-10 product collages to my profile (as seen here) to increase my revenue on the platform.

There are tricks to nailing the perfect product collages. It’s taken me some time to develop my own collage “templates” that I replicate again and again for LTK. If you are also a RewardStyle blogger, you need to read this post to develop your own unique strategy to create beautiful Canva collages.

1. Use the Right Image Dimensions for the LTK App

My first tip could easily be the best one! For crisp and clear collages on the LTK App, you need to set your Canva collage to the dimensions “1080 x 1350 px”.

This custom image size will end up fitting perfectly inside the LTK app once you are ready to post it. You can layer all of your products and text inside this collage and know that it will end up looking great once downloaded.

2. Find 2-3 Colors to Use In Your Product Collages to Establish Branding

Do you know your business branding style, yet? Before you start creating product collages on Canva, I suggest figuring this out first. For my Affordable by Amanda product collage “branding” I use light beige and light pink colors throughout all of my collages.

When someone follows me on the LTK app they can immediately recognize my unique Canva collage based on my brand colors. See the collage below for an example of my Affordable by Amanda collages.

The exact colors for my branding are: #E1D1C8 (the light pink shade) and #FFF4EB (the tan/beige shade). I also use two different fonts. The cursive font you see here is called “Halimum” and the bold font is called “Open Sans”. I use the “Effects” tool to make the white font bold with the “Hollow” effect. Then I copy the white font, change it to a dark brown shade, and remove the effect.

3. Always Include Your Username In Your Product Collage

Since you are most likely creating product collages to post to the LTK app, you want people on the app to immediately recognize your collage. I have my brand logo and my LTK username positioned at the bottom of all of my LTK collages. Some bloggers shorten their blog names to an acronym while others write out their full blog names.

4. Upgrade Canva to Pro For the Background Remover Effect

One of my most important blog investments includes upgrading Canva to the Pro edition. Honestly, I don’t even remember the time that I didn’t have the pro version! I pay $12.95/month for Canva Pro. I factor this into my business expenses when it comes to tax time. Yes, it’s an investment, but if you are serious about building your LTK profile up then you should consider making this upgrade!

When you take screenshots of products and upload them into Canva, you can easily remove the white backgrounds with the “Background Remover” effect. This awesome effect immediately removes the harsh white outline. I use this tool on a regular basis for my product collages.

6. Use the Same Canva Collage “Templates” Again and Again

Another pro tip: I use the exact same Canva collages for my LTK images again and again! It saves me so much time and energy to plug in products to a template that already has my branding.
