5 Recent Fall Purchases Under $100
I still laugh a little to myself when I think about using the word “fall”. As a Florida girl, we rarely (excuse me, NEVER) experience anything close to fall weather this time of year. Alas, the weather outside is anything but frightful and I am sitting here typing away in a pair of workout shorts and a t-shirt!
I use the word “fall” to describe my recent purchases very loosely as the term doesn’t affect this Florida girl whatsoever. Yes, the calendar says today is October 11th, but today could easily pass for July 17th! Can someone PLEASE transport me to Boston real quick? The falling red and orange leaves look absolutely dreamy right now. I would love to visit the New England area at some point during this time of year in my life! Boston tops my list as a destination to explore within the next few years. Luckily, I have a November trip planned in my calendar to travel back up to New York City for the Thanksgiving parade.
Trust me when I say I am stocking up on the best winter looks to style while I spend a week in NYC! Cardigans, sweaters, leggings, boots, scarves, hats, OH MY! I am so excited about that trip to come next month, but until then, I will be sweating it out in my hometown with the rest of the snowbirds as we enjoy more hot afternoons with the blazing sunshine keeping us warm at the beach.
I have done quite a bit of shopping (surprise, surprise!) these last few days in preparation for blog content and for my NYC trip next month. Francesca’s and Target have been my top two stores for all things fall-related! Francesca’s is where I found the Brielle white wool floppy hat that has been with me on both my recent trips to Bermuda AND Austin! This white wool hat continues to travel with me back and forth and I know it will be one of the first items I pack with me for New York City, too.
Onto my list — these are 5 recent fall purchases I’ve made and they are all under $100. From a teal mini dress to a classic white blazer, I hope my recent fall purchases inspire your fall wardrobe today!
1. Liv Whipstitch Top Handle Crossbody – Francesca’s Bag
2. Topshop Rita Blazer – Nordstrom
Upon planning an exciting adventure to Lakeland with my friend, Ayana, to shoot some content for our blogs, I quickly stopped at Nordstrom to search the Topshop section for any last-minute accessories or outerwear pieces to style! In a hurry, I grabbed a white blazer off the new arrivals area and tossed it over my striped Target jumpsuit (ON SALE FOR $20!).
The Rita Blazer was lightweight, under $100, and a neutral WHITE, so I knew it would be a versatile winner! This is not a blazer for cold weather, folks! I would recommend this blazer as an easy piece to wear during the summer into fall OR winter into spring seasons.
The blazer does not have any warmth to it so I don’t imagine it working for any chilly days spent up North, but for this Florida girl, it was just the right outerwear piece to style! The blazer has NO shoulder pads if you are worried about purchasing a blazer that has those! I also could see myself styling it with a bodysuit, high-rise denim jeans, and heels for a night out.
