What’s On My Coffee Bar?
Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine by Breville
I’ve had numerous coffee machines over the years and the Nespresso counts as my favorite one thus far. From switching over to Nespresso, I’ve seen a difference in the taste of my morning coffee.
The Nespresso pods offer flavorful options from hazelnut to caramel cookie. Making my morning cup of coffee takes minutes. Trust me when I say my entire morning feels better once I start my day with a Nespresso coffee in hand. Today I am sharing EXACTLY what’s on my coffee bar!
The machine you will find on my coffee bar is the Nespresso by De’Longhi ENV135B Coffee and Espresso Machine. The convenience of making coffee at home has altered how often I go to Starbucks, too. Now I simply pop in a Nespresso pod, click down on the top, and switch over to the “coffee locked” position.
The Nespresso Vertuo Machine has something impressive called Centrifusion technology to quickly spin the capsule of your choice to evenly blend the ground coffee and water together for the perfect drink. It takes roughly 10-15 seconds for the machine to heat up and then you can insert the Nespresso pod of your choice. Personally, my two go-to Nespresso coffee flavors are the Hazelino (Hazelnut) and Caramel Cookie.
Another pro to this coffee machine?
The coffee always froths up at the end of the spinning process and looks exactly as you would expect from a fancy coffee shop. The brews I make at home with my Vertuo machine rival any local coffee shop because of the thick creamy foam that sits at the top of my mug. Each morning, I refill the water tank to cut down on my coffee making time, too.
In case you’re wondering how I take my coffee, I have to admit that I also never drink my at-home coffee hot! I turn all of my hot coffee brews into iced coffee drinks by adding ice cubes at the end of the brewing process.
I typically brew my coffee in a ceramic mug and then transfer it into a glass full of ice. I’ll go into more detail on the specific coffee add-ins for my coffee drinks in the next few paragraphs below.
Coffee Bar Add-Ins
My coffee drinks are not ready until I add in some sugar and creamer. I’m not someone who can drink coffee black, ever. The creamier and milkier the coffee, the better for my personal taste preferences. As someone who doesn’t drink regular milk at all anymore, my coffee creamers are non-dairy. I’ve experimented with a few different brands of coffee creamer and one of my daily creamers from Coffee-Mate does the trick.
The Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss Caramel Almond Milk Coffee Creamer makes my coffee taste better once I mix in a heavy pour. The caramel flavor adds creamy thickness and flavor to my at-home coffee drinks. I wish they sold a larger bottle in my local Target because I normally buy 2 at a time! Ha! I truly include the caramel creamer into my daily cups of coffee so I go through it rather quickly.
After adding creamer to my cup of coffee I’ll tear up 2-3 stevia packets. A brand in particular that I want to mention for sugar is Stevia in the Raw which is an all-natural zero-calorie sweetener. Another sweetener I use includes a blend of stevia leaf and monk fruit with zero calories. Find it on Amazon here. Not only do I add these sweeteners to my morning coffees, but I also add them to smoothies and tea.
Coffee Bar Decor
Hopefully, you’ve noticed my cute kitchen decor in these photos!! I am a sucker for cute kitchen and home decor since I’ve been stuck at home during the quarantine.
Now I will share some cute ways to add decorative items to make your coffee bar area look chic. One of the easiest things you can do? Keep the area CLEAN! I always keep the area below my coffee machine clean and spotless by spraying some all-purpose multi-surface cleaner daily.
After taking these photos, I decided to add my new round jute placemat underneath my coffee machine to create more dimension and make the space look neat and stylish.
Coffee bar signs are a must! I found this white sign at a local second-hand shop, but I also discovered so many affordable styles online at Etsy. Etsy has quite a variety of locally handmade coffee bar signs and I especially adore this one and this 3D coffee bar sign that looks JUST like mine. Normally I find Urban Outfitters to have an expensive apartment and home decor selection, but this mug holder for under $20 needs a place on my coffee bar, STAT!
