May was filled with trying new beauty products. Usually I stick to my regular routine, but this month I stepped out of my comfort zone of Maybelline Fit Me foundation and tried the Physician’s Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Loose Powder. This powder has been an everyday item for me. I usually wear it under liquid foundations or just by itself. I bought the “translucent” one because I have such light skin that even the “fair” shade looked too dark for me! I also like that it is a mineral powder with no talc. I pour the powder into the oval lid and stipple it into my skin for a fresh long-lasting look.
I’ve been coveting two different lip products for the past few weeks. Ever since my best friend introduced me to NYX’s new lip products I’ve been as obsessed as she is. I own two NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks, one in the shade ‘Tea and Cookies”(a muted tea rose pink) and one in the shade “Soft-Spoken” (a mauve nude). Both are awesome matte lip products that are seriously comparable to the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit ones in my opinion! They leave your lips feeling velvety soft and the waterproof formula makes it last. Another lip product I love is the Bellapierre gel lip liner in “nude”. This is another wonderful formula that helps line your lips in a few smooth strokes. You can also fill your lips in with the liner to let it double as a lipstick, which I often do!
A few more face products that I loved in the month of May include a bareMinerals blush in the color “Daybreak”. It is a soft ruddy pink that compliments my favorite bronzer, the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. I sweep the bronzer on first and add some of the blush right on top of it. This has been my essential summer makeup look! After I apply my foundation I pop on some concealer to hide my dark circles and a recent fave is the Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous concealer in Light. I wanted to try something from the “Ready, Set Gorgeous” line and the concealer had the most positive reviews online. I like how it melts into my skin and is easily set into place with my loose powder for all-day coverage!
