Farmacy Beauty Review – My Farmacy Skincare Routine
Farmacy Beauty Review – My Farmacy Skincare Routine
Today I am sharing my new skin care routine. It’s always a good idea to switch up your skin care products after a few months. Our skin needs to experience different products to keep it looking clear and healthy.
Farmacy Beauty sent me a huge gift set packed with their best sellers to try. Although these products were sent to me as part of their Farmacy Affiliate Program, all of my opinions on each product are my own. Farmacy is not sponsoring this post whatsoever. My participation in their affiliate program means that I am likely to receive new shipments of products every quarter.
As someone in the Farmacy Beauty affiliate program, I have a special discount to share with my audience. Use my exclusive code: AMANDA20 to save 20% off your next Farmacy Beauty purchase.
My skin care routine features a few classic Farmacy products that I know and love as well as some new discoveries. Farmacy Beauty creates clean beauty products that are sulfate-free, paraben-free, and sustainably made.
Farmacy Beauty Whipped Greens Cleanser
Ever since trying out this cleanser on a whim a few months back, I’ve been repurchasing it again and again. If you are looking for ONE Farmacy Beauty product to try out from my entire list, I recommend this cleanser.
It takes the smallest amount to lather up and cleanse the skin. Farmacy’s Whipped Greens Cleanser features green clay to fight oil and papaya to exfoliate deep down into your pores. Seriously, I can’t say enough great things about this cleanser! The price of it feels fair and it will last you months at a time.
Green Clean Cleanser + Makeup Remover Balm
At first, I felt hesitant to try out a cleansing balm. With so many of my cleansers capable of removing makeup, why do I need to include a makeup removing balm in my routine?
Basically, the purpose of a makeup removing balm is to breakdown all of your makeup with ease. The entire process of using the Green Clean Cleanser + Makeup Remover Balm has totally changed my nighttime skincare routine for the better.
Instead of skipping right over to a cleanser, I prep my skin with a makeup removing balm to emulsify my foundation and eye makeup. The Farmacy Green Clean Balm feels gentle on my skin, too. By using a balm you need to remember to apply it to dry skin first. Once the balm has been on your face for a few seconds you can splash a bit of water to get it off.
Deep Sweep Pore Cleaning 2% BHA Toner
Some skin care experts say you can easily skip over a toner during your skincare routine. Honestly, until this product arrived at my front door, I did not use a toner at all. Back in the day, I would use a witch hazel toner, but then it slowly disappeared from my routine.
These days, toners are way better than the ones I had in my childhood bathroom. My teenage self depended on Clean & Clear toners that were sadly packed with harsh ingredients like alcohol. Tones with alcohol are terrible for your skin because they strip away your skin’s natural barrier. Yikes!
Unlike my old toners, the Farmacy Deep Sweep Pore Cleaning 2% BHA Toner contains better ingredients to combat breakouts. Salicylic acid works wonders for my skin. Need a new toner? Check out Deep Sweep from Farmacy. Don’t forget to use my 20% off discount code: AMANDA20 at checkout.
Honey Halo Ceramide Face Moisturizer
Now when it comes to moisturizers, I have a specific taste. Most of my top-rated moisturizers have a thick and creamy consistency. The Farmacy Honey Halo Ceramide Face Moisturizer reminds me a lot of the It Cosmetics moisturizer. Both are yellow-ish in color and have thick consistencies.
Honey Halo feels so good on my dry skin. At night, I’ll use my Whipped Greens cleanser and follow up with a huge dollop of Honey Halo to deliver a refreshing layer of hydration to my skin.
Farmacy HONEYMOON GLOW AHA Resurfacing Night Serum
As I get older, I am focusing on incorporating more anti-aging beauty products into my regime. Thankfully, clean brands like Farmacy offer better solutions to the irritating retinol serums that I’ve tested out in the past.
One beauty product that’s new to my nighttime skin care routine is the Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum. If you are newer to AHAs (acids) I suggest slowly easing your way into the world of acids.
Apply 2 pumps of this night serum to your skin one time per week. As someone who regularly receives laser treatments and microneedling, my skin has a tolerance to acids which is why I use the Honeymoon Glow serum 3 times per week. You don’t need to go overboard with this night serum. Using it once a week will help you build up your tolerance to acids over time.
On the Sephora site, I saw a customer who swears by this serum to help eliminate her deep ice pick scars from acne. In my own journey with post-acne scarring, I continue to seek out products to aid in diminishing the appearance of scars on my skin. I am hopeful that the Honeymoon Glow Resurfacing Night Serum will slowly improve the texture of my skin.
