Ever since my college days, I’ve been an avid natural deodorant wearing kinda gal. You may or may not know that switching over from an aluminium-based deodorant to a natural one is a JOURNEY!

One of the best decisions I made for my body health a few years back was to switch over to a natural deodorant.

Although there are not exact scientific links to cancers from aluminium found in deodorant, there are two health issues with exposure to aluminum.

Why I Chose to Switch to Natural Deodorant

With an increased risk of breast cancer in my family, I wanted to make a change over to natural deodorant for my health.

If there could be even the slightest risk of developing cancer because of a deodorant, why not make the switch to decrease my risks, right?

My Honest Review of Megababe Rosy Pits Daily Deodorant

While out shopping for a restock of deodorant at Target, I spotted this familiar tube from Megababe. I had seen this brand pop up on my Instagram page a few times.

Before making any beauty purchases, I typically look up reviews ahead of time. I stood in the deodorant aisle of Target for quite some time reading over what other people were saying about this brand of natural deodorant.

Typically, I will pick up my usual favorite natural deodorant: Sandalwood from Native.

I’ve heard that it’s important to switch up your natural deodorant brands because your body may become accustomed to one certain brand and stop working.

In the past, I’ve experienced irritation and redness underneath my armpits with products containing baking soda. Thankfully, this natural deodorant from Megababe has a combo of clean ingredients to prevent those skin issues.

After debating whether or not to buy this deodorant, I ultimately took the “Rosy Pits” scent home with me. The scent of this natural deodorant features a light rose scent.

How Does This Natural Deodorant Hold Up?

With other natural deodorants you might need to carry around the tube with you on the go. With this tube of Megababe, I simply applying a few swipes underneath my armpits and carry on with my day.

Depending on how much physical activity you plan on doing for the day will ultimately determine how long this deodorant lasts.

For me, this deodorant lasts up to 7-8 hours long! I’d say that’s pretty long for a natural deodorant, too. The deodorant itself never leaves any white marks on my clothes, either.

As of right now, the rose scent is the only one from Megababe that I’ve tested out since I love a floral scent. I am eager to pick up the other Megababe scents, like Sunny Pits and Soapy Pits.

Where to Buy Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant?

One of the most convenient places where I restock my Megababe deodorant is Target. You can also order yourself Megababe products from ULTA Beauty or their own website.

At Target, these natural deodorants sell for around $14 a piece. Yes, it’s a little high in price for a deodorant, but honestly one tube lasts me for up to 5-6 months at a time!

How to Prep Your Underarms for Natural Deodorant

As I mentioned above, it took some time to adjust my underarms to natural deodorant. The process can make you feel more sweaty than usual as you are detoxing your underarms from years of aluminum.

With normal aluminum-based deodorants, the aluminum blocks sweat ducts from producing sweat. By switching over to natural deodorants, you lose this main ingredient that blocks sweat.

How to Detox Your Underarms

To speed up the process of switching to a natural deodorant, I recommend using a charcoal mask to detox your pits!

Megababe has their own version called Megababe Happy Pits Detoxifying Underarm Mask. This underarm mask pulls out bad toxins with active ingredients such as glycolic acid, willow bark extract & tea tree oil.

Sometimes if I want to fully detox my pits from a hot summer day I’ll reach for the underarm mask. The Megababe product has only clean and effective natural ingredients for safe use every week.

The switch over to natural deodorant takes time, but once you’ve committed to the process, you should feel so good about it! Incorporating more clean beauty products into your daily life has major benefits to your overall health and well-being.
