2 Ways to Style Faux Leather for Fall

2 Ways to Style Faux Leather for Fall - Affordable by Amanda

Hello, hello! As the fall season moves forward, I want to take a moment to share some styling tips with one my fave trends: faux leather. Faux leather pieces have made their way into my wardrobe this year. At first, I didn’t quite know how to style faux leather. What type of top or sweater looks best with faux leather on the bottom? Where do I find the right faux leather pieces that aren’t too expensive?

Thankfully, Express had just what I was looking for a few weeks ago! I ended up picking out two faux leather pieces to style. Each of the faux leather items arrived in great condition to style for my YouTube channel. Both the pants and the skirt are in the size medium.

Ruched Side Tie Crew Neck Sweater (M) // Super High Waisted Faux Leather Belted Ankle Pant (M) // Red Dress Boutique Look No Further Light Camel Bag (c/o) // Floppy Wool Felt Panama Hat // Ankle Booties

These outfits show 2 Ways to Style Faux Leather for Fall. The first look: a faux leather pair of high-waisted pants. Gosh, I do LOVE these pants a lot.
At Express, I ended up getting these light brown faux leather pants for under $30 bucks, too. Luckily, the medium fits me just right! You can adjust the belt straps to create a nice bow at the top of these pants. I seriously felt so fancy and put together when wearing this outfit.
To style my new pants, I chose a cream long sleeve sweater. With these pants having a high-waist cut, I figured a crew neck sweater would look best. Wearing anything with a v-neck would look distracting since I wanted to put the focus on the pants. As for shoes, I opted for low-cut ankle booties in a cream/grey shade. Neutral shoes are always a smart move when styling something out of your comfort zone.

One more outfit idea including faux leather with this CUTE mini skirt from Express. As soon as I spotted this faux leather mini skirt on the Express website I had to buy it for myself! If only it wasn’t so pricey, gah! I did not like spending over $60 on this skirt at first. However, I instantly fell in love with it once I put it on.
This elegant dark brown skirt looks great with a lightweight sweater on top. To finish off this look, I am wearing scrunch knee high boots from Target.
