While browsing through
Hollister looking for some outerwear pieces for the winter, I came across this
plaid mini skort in my size! Luckily I grabbed the last medium and took it home with me to style for a future Christmas blog post. The skort rang up
under $30 to my surprise, too. There’s nothing I love more than finding out something I want to buy is on sale or marked down! If the weather was colder, I would have swapped out my
smocked blouse for a white eyelash sweater for this Christmas outfit inspiration look. If the weather where you live will be cold for Christmas you can also add a couple of necessary layers to this look and put on some black opaque tights and
a trendy coat to warm up. My Christmas Eve and Christmas Day plans will include a bit of casual attire (think sweaters + jeans + boots) with a pop of
silver sequins depending on what tops I find today while out shopping some last-minute deals. I am on the hunt for the right sequin top or
sequin skirt to wear myself if I feel up to wearing a more glam outfit this year. If I do not find the right sequin top or skirt, I am definitely reaching back for this red plaid mini! The plaid mini is “high rise” so I suggest keeping that in mind when figuring out the correct sizing if you have a long torso. I was able to pull off a medium which is my usual skirt size. I wore this look with a pair of
gray over-the-knee boots and I found so many affordable Amazon versions of my expensive pair for you to shop! I seriously can’t believe how many
OTK boots are available on Amazon ($28.00) when I ended up spending nearly $170 on mine. Yikes!
