New Makeup I’m Loving for Summer 2017
I want to take a moment to share a few of my new beauty favorites on the blog with you. I haven’t added a new update to my makeup favorites in some time! Although there are products that have quickly become staples in my routine, I am always looking at new brands to experiment with here and there.
I must talk about this bronzer because I’ve been reaching for it every single day that I apply makeup! The matte bronzer obsession is all over the Internet and this specific product does wonders for oily skin. It truly gives me a nice sunkissed look, even though I am super pale.
I love using bronzer during the summer because I need to fake a good tan (haha) and this stuff really works. I sweep it all over my face for an even application.
Obviously I apply a TON of sunscreen to my skin every day (pale + Florida = BURN) , so I am always trying out new options because I get bored easily. Yes, I do loveeee all of my Supergoop! products to death but I bought a huge bag of other sunscreens to try out so I needed to switch it up for the time being.
After applying my sample size of this Shiseido (nope, I can’t pronounce it either!) product I started to find myself using it all the time. I am now completely out of my sample and I am considering making a purchase at Sephora to pick this up again real soon, as I miss it that much!
I was never one who liked applying a lip liner until I discovered the power of this liner. I purchased a huge gift set of nude lipsticks from Sephora some time ago and this liner was on my list to try out next.
The applicator is a round tip that provides excellent precision to gently line my lips with the pigment. I find that using this liner will help me out when I add on any additional lipsticks. The shade is also super pretty and I would describe it as a dark nude pinkish red.
You know how you play a song on repeat? Well, in the same respect I’ve been wearing this CC+ cream nonstop! It is SO SO good. I’m on my third tube and I’ve been hooked on this product for a few years now. Thank you, YouTube for convincing me to test it out for myself.
I wear the lightest shade, Fair, and it matches my skin tone perfectly. I don’t need too much of this cream because it blends and melts into my skin so well. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this product if you have normal to oily skin types, as it is a miracle foundation for the summer heat.
As for my routine with this product, I usually apply this with a foundation brush and add a translucent powder on top for a matte finish.
For my mascara, I’ve been using a waterproof formula created by the natural brand Mineral Fusion. This mascara is easy on the eyes and won’t make them water. The formula is also free of toxic chemicals and has soothing ingredients such as aloe and Argan oil.
This mascara separates my lashes and provides them with the right amount of buildable lengthening power that I look for in a mascara.
I find this mascara to be comparable to my FAVE Better Than Sex, too! Watch out, Too Faced.
I really don’t know what life was like without eyebrows…I mean, how did people LOOK at my face and stand to see my nonexistent brows!? OK, I’m being dramatic, but SERIOUSLY. Eyebrows are so important to take care of, I used to never do anything about mine. I never even had any sort of shape of an eyebrow before I learned that you could fill them in with a powder/gel/liner. My mind was blown, let me tell ya!
Onto my holy grail eyebrow pencil. THIS It Cosmetics eyebrow pencil is my #1 favorite pencil I’ve ever used before. It also comes with a nice brush at the other end to carefully help you sculpt your brows into place once you pencil them in. I have the lightest shade, blonde, and I use this pencil religiously every single morning. My routine is basically: wake up, pencil in brows, carry on with day!
