Valentine’s Day Drugstore Makeup Look
Today I am sharing an easy Valentine’s Day drugstore makeup look.
From a creamy liquid foundation to a rosy eyeshadow, each of these products is affordable and wearable. For a special day such as Valentine’s Day, I also recommend breaking out of your comfort zone and wearing a bold red lipstick. Keep reading to find out where you can purchase my all-time favorite bold red lipstick from the drugstore in addition to all of the products found in these photos!
1. Revlon PhotoReady Candid Foundation
Get your hands on this new Revlon foundation if you haven’t already. Put your best face forward once you apply some Revlon PhotoReady Candid Foundation on Valentine’s Day this year. I own the Porcelain shade to match my fair skin. This foundation has plenty of color options for all skin tones — a whopping 31 colors total! I love this foundation because it looks natural and is ultra blendable. Typically when applying this foundation, I use a fluffy brush from RealTechniques to generously smooth the product on my skin. The result is a fresh complexion. YouTuber Taylor Wynn covered her own first impression of this exact foundation and she also has fair skin so she uses the lightest shade.
2. E.l.f. 16hr Camo Concealer
A super affordable concealer from the drugstore is from the brand e.l.f. The Camo Concealer from e.l.f. compares to the pricer Tarte Shape Concealer in a few ways. The e.l.f. concealer has a similar doe foot applicator that provides a thick coat of product to apply to the face in one single use. For $6.00 you should include the Camo Concealer in your Valentine’s Day makeup look to achieve flawless under eyes on a budget! A little goes a long way with this concealer. After applying foundation, one single swipe of this concealer under the eyes will be enough to cover dark circles for the entire Valentine’s Day and night for whatever you have planned.

3. Maybelline City Bronzer/Contour Powder
For contouring and adding some color to the skin, I suggest using the Maybelline City Bronzer. A light dusting of bronzer always puts me in a good mood, too! After applying such a light foundation on my face, I look forward to using a darker bronzer to really put some life back into my otherwise washed-out complexion. The Maybelline City Bronzer has a great blendable matte look to it. Looking sculpted and sun-kissed for Valentine’s Day dinner is already on my list of things to do that day to appear photo-ready.
4. Milani “Luminoso” Baked Blush
Can we take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this rose-gold blush? How pretty does it look?! Milani makes the best blushes sold at the drugstore in my opinion. This one called “Berry Amore” is a baked blush packed with a healthy dose of gold shimmer. You also can’t be a $7.00 blush that doubles as a highlight to make your cheekbones pop! Honestly, you’ll never need to buy another blush again once you own this classic baked blush from Milani. It’s such a versatile product to use for a lot of makeup looks from winter into summer. The more you use, you more glowing your skin will appear!
5. Don’t Forget Your Eyebrows In this Valentine’s Day Drugstore Makeup Look
Eyebrows are also an essential part of any makeup routine. Drugstore eyebrow pencils are often better than expensive ones- there, I said it! Why not pay as little as $7 for a shiny new eyebrow pencil that can do the same exact thing as a $20 one? One of my favorite eyebrow pencils for a sculpted brow look comes from NYX.
Since I have dark red hair, I need to use an eyebrow pencil that has an auburn color to it to match. The NYX Microbrow Pencil in “Auburn” tops my list as a great eyebrow pencil that looks similar to my hair color. The tip of this micro brow pencil is thin and easy to use, so even a beginner can make their brows look fuller in seconds. My eyebrows are super sparse and the skinny tip helps me fill them in every day. For Valentine’s Day, you need to include filling in your brows as the next step after applying foundation, concealer, and bronzer. Eyebrows are important to tie your whole look together.
6. e.l.f. Sculpting Silk Eyeshadow Palette
I wear this tiny eyeshadow palette from e.l.f. on a daily basis! For a pretty Valentine’s Day makeup look, I am planning on pulling it out again. This time I am going to use all three of the shades to create a more dramatic nighttime look. The matte shade is what I typically use on my eyes during the day and I apply a little of the shimmer shade for an added boost of shimmer. Some e.l.f. eyeshadow palettes can look chalky, but not this one. This e.l.f. $5.00 3-color eyeshadow palette has a great formula that looks natural.
7. L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise
The Lash Paradise mascara is a serious dupe for the high-end Too Faced Better than Sex ($24) mascara. Heck, even the packaging looks identical. At an affordable price of $10.99, you should include this mascara in your Valentine’s Day drugstore makeup look. Using this mascara will make you look like you are wearing false lashes, too. I highly recommend this mascara if you don’t already own it in your makeup collection.
8. Milani Amore Mattes Lip Creme Red Lipstick
One final touch to this entire drugstore makeup look is lipstick! For V-Day, I think a bold red lip is very appropriate for the occasion. Whether you are celebrating Galentine’s Day brunch with your galpals or preparing for a romantic evening with your significant other, a red lip is a fun statement. Of course, you need your lipstick to last through food and drinks, so a matte lipstick will be the best way to go. Milani Amore Mattes Lip Creme formulas are both fast-drying and matte. The color I am referring to as the best matte red lip is called “Devotion” and you can buy it at Target. The formula is listed as having a “smudge-resistant satin matte finish” which I can attest is true. I own a few of the other Milani lip creme lipsticks because I love the satin matte finish they give my lips.
