monday beauty buys
These are some of my most recent purchases for my best beauty buys {in addition to my new Coach watch, which I got for Christmas! Click here to see the post about What I Got for Christmas this year}. Here are some brief descriptions about each of the products pictured above and links to where you can purchase them! Happy Monday!
I love trying new powders! Especially matte ones. Anything to help make me feel and look less oily throughout the day! Maybelline makes the ever so loved Age Rewind Concealer($6) so I gave this a whirl. It gives such a great all over matte coverage. I have to re-apply it throughout the day to keep my face shine free but the powder does glide on smoothly.
I might do an entire post dedicated to these new lipsticks. I found one color I liked and bought it on whim because there was a $1.00 off coupon next to the display! Make sure you check out CVS to find it your store has these, too. I bought a neon pink shade for fun and it turned out to be such a nice color when I tried it on. I applied it at 10 a.m. and the color lasted until about 2 p.m. without a need to re-apply. I have purchased two more colors and so did my Mom! The formulas can be drying but I applied a lip balm underneath for added moisture.
If you’ve read a few of my posts concerning beauty, you may know that I have been looking for a healthier approach to some items that I use. I have been a natural deodorant junkie for the past few months, experimenting with all sorts of brands you could ever imagine! This one, by far, by a landslide, beats every single one I’ve ever tried. La Vanila made an amazing breakthrough with this product! Saying that with such confidence means I really do love this! Honestly it does what it says, which is “finally, a natural deodorant that works”. That is exactly what I thought when I used it on day 1! and keeps you smelling great all day. The price point is comparable with most deodorants on the market, from $8-12. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make the switch.
I wear Rimmel London Stay Matte powder and this concealer sounded nice to use as both a concealer and a highlighter. I use it all over my face! Down my nose for some highlighting and underneath my eyes for added coverage. This product is also only $6 in most drugstores, making it a very affordable option in comparison to my other favorite, the NARS Creamy Concealer.

I love the Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder! I've used it for what feels like forever (and it definitely lasts forever…though that just might be me not using it as much as I should!) and it was definitely worth the buy!
