skin saturday {june 6th 2015}

Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Spray SPF 50+ {$28}…The first product I want to discuss in today’s edition of Skin Saturday is my discovery of Supergoop. They sell products that provide clinically tested sun protecion without parabens, synthetic fragrances, or oxybenzone. The brand is new to me, and while flipping through my May edition of Elle magazine I found an ad for new sun-care products. Sephora is selling a bunch of new products and this line is a part of the mix. I Googled Supergoop because I read that this “setting spray” could go over your makeup. I repeat, over your ENTIRE full-coverage routine. I was shocked, excited, and knew I had to get my hands on this ASAP! I put one on hold and I purchased it for $28–slightly more than I initially wanted to pay, but because I am so sun-conscious I thought it was a good investment (pale girls unite!). I absolutely love this spray. I re-apply it every 2 hours to give my face a fresh feel. The scent is not too harsh and the product quickly dissolves into my skin to give me a matte finish. For summer days, I recommend packing this in your beach bag for a boost of sunscreen protection. 

 LUSH Cosmetics Mask of Magnaminty {$13}…LUSH masks are always nice to treat yourself with. After a super long semester, I bought this mask one day on a whim because my friend was in the store finding a bath bomb. One of the employees helped me find the best mask for me to try and this was the winner. I love the smell of peppermint and this mask is a container of minty freshness that you get to put on your face! Each time I use it I inhale the pleasant smell and feel more relaxed. 

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel {$23}…Moisturizing is very important for people with oily skin, which may seem like an odd concept! It is a tool to help hydrate and reduce irritation that cleansing your skin may cause. Clinique is a great brand that works for my oily skin type. This light-weight gel formula also glides on smooth. I use it on my face and body to keep my dry patches at bay during the hot months.
