updated lush favorites
Natural and helpful beauty products are very important to me because of my skin and hair problems. If you haven’t followed along with my beauty product posts just yet {click on the tab at the top of the webpage!}, I’ll fill you in! I have an oily combination skin-type which means I have oily and dry skin that is acne-prone. I also have naturally curly, thin, and dry hair that I color-treated about a year ago to be blonder. Now I am letting my naturally red tones come back to life, so I am all about hydrating my locks. I will be doing another post about hair care using Lush products, but for today I am focusing on my favorite Lush skincare picks!
Lush is a brand that I just started using products from about a year ago. I still can not believe I used to completely pass by the lush store in my favorite mall! Thanks to social media and basically scrolling on Tumblr, I purchased a few face masks and fell in love with the results they gave my skin!
Face Masks
Mask of Magnaminty is one of my all-time favorite face masks. You can leave this one out of the fridge, but I highly recommend putting it in! The cold minty feeling you get while applying this product to your face is so refreshing. The mask tightens slightly on your face and does a great job
giving your skin a deep clean.
Cosmetic Warrior is a fresh face mask I find works great to tighten pores and clean out my face. The masks has egg whites and honey to smooth skin. Garlic and tea tree help with redness and reduce the soreness that pimples can give your face. Once you get past the smell, you can find yourself reaching for this mask whenever a breakout happens!
Cleansers
Dark Angels is a cleanser I purchased while on vacation in New York. My cousins and I were shopping in Lush and I picked this up on a whim because the product worked as a cleanser and exfoliant. Black sugar and charcoal exfoliate and absorb excess oils and organic avocado oils nourishes skin to make it feels soft and matte. I have been using this cleanser on and off for a month and have loved it! The smell is also not too harsh and this product is great for every day use.
Coalface Charcoal Cleansing Bar Another product with charcoal in it! Can you tell I am a huge fan? The charcoal in this cleansing bar helps draw out impurities and gives you a seriously smooth and fresh face! I feel like there is nothing on my skin once I am done using this bar. I simply wet the bar and lightly glide it over my skin in the morning before putting on any lotions. This is great for combination skin! It is worth every penny.
Others
Mint Julips if you wear lipstick, you might be like me and most likely have to scrub your lips a ton so they aren’t cracked and bumpy. Adding this product to your routine will help immensely! This minty scrub is great for exfoliating your lips and you lip it off when you are done.
Vanishing Cream even if you have oily skin, you still need to moisturize your skin! This cream has witch hazel which is awesome because I use a witch hazel toner already. It is not too greasy and hydrates your skin to balance oiliness.
Have you tried any of these picks? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading today’s post!
