1. NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette $19.00 – forget about contouring for a minute, have you heard of strobing? Basically it’s a new beauty term in which one uses a lot of highlighter to accentuate the high points of your face. See the illustration below! I saw this new trend circling around YouTube and this palette looks like NYX’s affordable version of achieving the best strobing effect with 7 unique shades to look bright and luminous!

2. L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation $16.99 – not a huge fan of this price for a drugstore foundation, but I am willing to try it out because it says it has fresh buildable coverage. I also like the idea behind this product where liquid foundation is kept in a cushion so you can bounce a sponge on it and not have to worry about all the foundation spilling out of a jar.
3. Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Foundation $10.99 – I love Maybelline foundations a lot, so I am interested to test this one out to see if it does indeed ‘hydrate’ your face like it says it will! It is also a gel-whipped foundation that works for normal to combination skin types.
4. Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup and Concealer Foundation $12.79 – I watched Tati from YouTube {here is the exact video!} do a first impressions video on some new Revlon products and she loved this one a lot. She even said she was going to wear this foundation the day after trying it out! I instantly saw visible results on her skin when she applied it with a brush. It gave serious coverage and it also comes with a concealer in what looks like a lighter shade. I am very interested in this product and I hope the lightest shade Ivory is not too pink for me!
5. NYX Wonderstick Highlight and Contour $13.60 – this product promises to conceal, highlight, and contour with its creamy stick application in order to define your facial features. I like the idea of having both a highlight and contouring shade in one product for everyday use.
6. Rimmel London Brow this Way Sculpting Kit $4.49 – brow kits are something I own way too many of, but something I love trying new versions of! Eyebrows are very important facial features that I never knew needed to be taken care of on a regular basis. I used to never fill in my brows…or pluck them…until about a year or so ago. This kit looks so nice-it is not only under $5 but has two different shades to get just the right color.
