Best Drugstore Lipsticks for Fair Skin: Summer Edition

Maybelline Lipsticks 

Two standout lipstick lines that I personally love from Maybelline are their collection of Super Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks and Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick. I own a few shades of the Super Stay Matte Ink Lip Colors such as Ruler, Seductress, and Lover.

Now when you apply this lipstick for the day or night, be sure to realize that it has amazing staying power and can easily last you into the next day! I have found that this lipstick can be difficult to get off which is both a good and bad thing. The colors are bright and the application brush gives you the precision you need with a matte liquid lipstick product!

The other Maybelline line I need to recommend if you are a fair skinned beauty like myself is the Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick. I own the bright pink color called “Secret Blush” which is just the right amount of pink for me. I have to credit one of my best friends Maddie for introducing me to this line from Maybelline. She has been obsessed with watching Jaclyn Hill’s YouTube channel and continues to share insight into Jaclyn’s drugstore must-haves with me. The shade she wears is a nude called “Baddest Beige”.

This lipstick has both hydration and pigment. For $7.99, you can’t beat it. This new range of lipstick has a crazy new oil-in-lipstick formula.  You’ll fall in love with the smooth buttery feel of this hydrating drugstore lipstick for fair skin. For the summer, all you want to do is keep your lips insanely hydrated for pool dips and direct sunlight. The oil-in-lipstick combination will be a winning one that you must pack away in your beach tote this summer. I personally can’t wait to stock up on some more shades to test out!

Milani Lipsticks

I have a deep red Milani Liquid Lipstick that I pull out for special occasions. I wear a fiery red shade when New Year’s Eve rolls around, when Valentine’s Day approaches, and when my red dress needs an accompanying lip shade in the same family.

The Milani Amore Mattes Lip Cremes are highly rated on Target’s website, too. The formula dries to a soft, matte look for 16 hours of wear time. The soft applicator definitely hugs the curves of the lips for a rich, opaque color. The shade I wear is called “Devotion” and retails for $7.99 at most beauty stores. A rich red bold lip is made possible with the affordable matte lipsticks from Milani. NYX Lipsticks 

Another drugstore brand that you might be familiar with is NYX Professional Makeup. The NYX brand is available at my local Walgreens where I sort through their display of new arrivals each month to see what they have for me to play with.

One of the NYX lipsticks that I treasure is the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Matte Lipstick range. These “suede” lipsticks glide beautifully and easily across my top and bottom lips without smudging. The waterproof and long-lasting formula ensures a flawless pout. The shades “Tea & Cookies” and “Kitten Heels” are two fan favorites. I want to experiment with orange shades again so I might make a $7.00 purchase and go for “Foiled Again”. ULTA sells every single color on their website and you can usually find a coupon to score $3.50 off a $15 purchase.
