How to Style Sequins for New Year’s Eve
In today’s post, I am sharing how to style sequins for New Year’s Eve. I will be sharing both glam and casual options for the best NYE outfits to ring in a new decade, whether you choose to celebrate from either a rooftop bar or from home! Happy New Year, everyone! 1. Sequin Dress + Faux Fur Jacket
A classic way to style sequins for New Year’s Eve is by investing in an all-over sequin dress! The one I am wearing in this outfit look is from H&M and sold out pretty quickly upon arrival. The all-over sequin dress immediately caught my attention and I ended up packing it with me on vacation to New York City last month. For my photoshoot with Carter in downtown Manhattan, I changed into the dress and layered on my black faux fur jacket for a sophisticated touch. Luckily, this holiday season saw an influx of sexy sequin dresses (especially at H&M) and I was able to find a lot of similar dresses for a great price point. Sequin dresses are such a classic NYE look in my opinion. Nothing says “Let’s Party” into a new year like a sparkly dress!

2. Sequin Skirt + Cropped Chenille Eyelash Sweater
Another glam combo for NYE includes a sequin skirt, black tights, and a cropped sweater. I would suggest wearing a cream or white sweater to pull together the entire look effortlessly. One of the most popular sweaters for the holidays has been an eyelash sweater. These chenille eyelash sweaters are typically super soft and warm on the inside with a fluffy outer appearance. I’ve seen a couple eyelash-chenille sweaters in numerous stores online (like Abercrombie) while doing some winter shopping. THIS ONE from Nordstrom has touchable soft eyelash-chenille fabric that would look great paired with a black sequin mini skirt for New Year’s Eve.

3. Sequin Pants + Turtleneck Sweater
I actually just picked up a fabulous pair of black sequin pants from EXPRESS (similar here) last night to wear for New Year’s Eve! I am so excited to reveal my final look over on Instagram when the time comes. Drawing attention with an elegant pair of sleek sequin jogger pants can be a serious look for New Year’s Eve. STYLE TIP: Keep everything else to a minimum when you wear such a powerful pair of sequin pants. Don’t overdo it with the jewelry or hair — studded earrings and a sleek bob would complete the look. I haven’t done a sequin pant look for any previous New Year’s Eve occasions and this year I am looking forward to styling them to perfection to ring in 2020 looking chic! Another great option is THIS PAIR of silver wide leg sequin pants from Dillards. Add in a cozy turtleneck from EXPRESS tucked into your sequin pants and carry on with the champagne drinking!

4. Sequin Top or Tank Top + Denim Skinny Jeans
One final New Year’s Eve outfit idea includes a casual girl’s dream: jeans! Staying home or heading out to a friend’s casual NYE party? I say opt for a sequin tank top and your fave pair of denim skinny jeans. A sequin tank top has just enough pizzazz to feel celebratory. Wearing denim skinny jeans and a pretty sparkly top can do no wrong this New Year’s Eve. Let’s pretend to wear multiple NYE outfits, shall we? If I could wear two looks I would wear my sequin pants + chunky turtleneck sweater AND I would wear a pair of ripped denim jeans with this ROSE GOLD CROP TOP from Forever 21.
