Top 10 Favorite Things I Bought in 2019
Today I am sharing my top 10 favorite things that I bought during 2019! This list is comprised of fashion favorites, beauty favorites, and more. Keep reading to discover my list of top 10 favorites for the year 2019. Who knows what 2020 will bring, but I am eager to see what my list looks like next year around this same exact time.
1. Love Beauty & Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Body Wash and Body Lotion
2. Amazon Hiking Boots
For my European vacation back in March of 2019, I needed to find the right pair of walking shoes or boots for my trip. My sister, her two best friends, and I explored Germany, Amsterdam, and Paris together for a couple of days. This was my first big European vacation and I had to be prepared!
We each had a single backpack to use for our trip. Packing one backpack was a task for someone like me who loves to pack as much as possible. I knew I needed to invest in a quality pair of hiking boots per my sister’s recommendation. My search sent me over to Amazon where I looked into the best hiking boots that were under $200. I recommend this pair of hiking boots if you are on the hunt for a great pair of boots that will last you for miles and miles of walking. Our trip had us walking up to 12 miles per day which was exhausting, but it felt better with a comfortable pair of shoes on my feet. I will be holding onto this pair of Amazon hiking boots for my future trips that will undoubtedly require a lot of walking during the daytime.
4. Warby Parker ‘Madeleine’ Bluelight Glasses
A new pair of glasses came into my life in early 2019. I stopped by my local in-house Warby Parker to look at buying some new frames. I have poor eyesight which means I wear contacts and glasses every day. When I am not wearing my contacts, I like to wear a stylish pair of glasses. Enter these new Madeleine Warby Parker frames!
At under $100, Warby Parker seriously sells the best and affordable trendy frames. If you have to wear glasses, why not make them look chic? I adore the tortoiseshell coloring of these frames and I chose the narrow version because I have a small round face. The pointed cat-eye frames are also flattering for my face shape! If you find me on Instagram stories in any glasses just know that these are the frames I am most likely wearing! You can also upgrade your lenses to include blue light which I did. I spent a little extra money making that upgrade, however, I feel like since my job includes staring at both a computer and phone screen, blue light frames are NECESSARY!
5. Revlon PhotoReady Candid Antioxidant Foundation
6. Revlon Colorstay Brow Pencil – Waterproof Angled Tip
I guess 2019 was a REVLON kinda year for me! I also loved using a Revlon EYEBROW PENCIL to darken in my eyebrows. I barely have any brows, to begin with, so I rely heavily on an eyebrow pencil to do the trick. In the morning, one of the first steps of my everyday makeup routine is to draw in my eyebrows! I love using thick brow pencils over gels because I can fine-tune my brows and define them much easier that way. Eyebrow pencils are crucial for my completed makeup routine which is why I typically have 2 eyebrow pencils on me at all times! I also keep an extra eyebrow pencil at my boyfriend’s house in my bathroom drawer just in case I leave my house without it. Eyebrows are just THAT important to me! Haha! Since I have red hair, I wear the “Auburn” shade.
7. Soft Stars Above Target Pajamas
8. Keurig K-Mini Single Serving K-Pod Coffee Maker
Alright so I technically bought this coffee maker for my sister as a birthday present in 2019, but now I use it on an almost daily basis! The Keurig coffee maker (available at Target) makes the perfect single serving of coffee in the morning. Since 2019 was the year I started my coffee addiction, I am so glad I made the purchase of an at-home coffee maker for the family.
9. Louis Vuitton Neverfull Designer Dupe from Amazon
Save yourself over $900 by doing what I did and buy a LOUIS VUITTON DUPE BAG over on Amazon for under $50. Buy it now, thank me later!
This was one of the best buys I made in all of 2019 by a landslide. I use this oversized tote bag as my everyday bag because it holds my wallet, keys, laptop, snacks, phone charger, lipsticks, and more! This will be one of the best investments you make if you consider buying it for yourself as a new work bag for 2020 or as a gift for someone else! I would love to gift this bag to working women in my life and I just might need to do that in the new year as long as Amazon still carries this affordable dupe.
10. High-Rise Skinny Jeans Universal Thread
Target became my #1 place to find a great pair of stretchy jeans this year. After looking through places like Old Navy and American Eagle, I finally found a good quality pair of skinny jeans at Target that was under $30! The Universal Thread brand at Target carries a lot of dark wash, light wash, and medium wash pairs of jeans. You can also choose from jeans with no rips and some rips which give any shopper the best options for a casual pair of jeans. I had to mention Universal Thread jeans in my top 10 favorites list for 2019 because they were a game-changer for me. I absolutely dread trying jeans on in the fitting room, but sliding into the Universal Thread pair was a different experience for me! I am happy to report that these jeans also do well after you wash them and wear them for months. I would compare these jeans to the expensive ones at Nordstrom. I know what those feel like because I used to own a pair from AG before I grew out of them.

I've thought about trying Warby Parker, but I got two new pairs through my insurance this past year so I think I may be good for a while.
