Why I Love My Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer?
Ever since I first purchased this hair tool from Walmart, I’ve been addicted to using it! Almost every single time after I jump out of the shower I turn on my Revlon hair dryer to dry my hair. It seriously cuts down the amount of time it typically takes me to dry my hair. This tool compares to the very expensive Dyson Airwrap Complete Styler that retails for $499.99. HA, NOPE!
Is it a Dupe for the Dyson Airwrap?
There’s no way I’d shell out over $500 for one single hair tool. I hope you’re in the same boat as me when I say that. Of course, the Dyson technology might be worth that crazy cost, but I will not be spending that much money on a hair tool nor am I telling you to spend that much on it.
The unique oval brush design smooth hair while the rounded edges quickly create volume at the root and beautifully full-bodied curls at the ends in a single pass, for salon blowouts at home. The brush is designed with Nylon Pin & Tufted Bristles for serious detangling, improved volume and control.
Check out this YouTube review comparing the Revlon One-Step with the Dyson Airwrap. Although the Dyson one dries hair faster, the Revlon Hairdryer will still create volume and dry your hair the same way.
Fair warning: this tool gets HOT.
You need to pay close attention when you bring the tool out in front of your face. If you have bangs as I do then you need to cautiously use the hairdryer in front of your face as you twist the tool to add volume. What I like to do is use the hairdryer at the “HIGH” level for as long as I can handle. Then I’ll switch to the “COOL” level to cool my hair down. For my bangs, I’ll switch to “COOL”.
How Often Do I Use This Hairdryer?
You’ll never need a round brush and a hairdryer again once you invest in this affordable Revlon hairdryer. Personally, I HATED using a round brush and hairdryer to achieve an at-home blowout. At-home blowouts don’t have to be difficult! Let the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer do all the hard work for you in minutes. I can completely dry my hair in 10 minutes in the morning.
For me and my lifestyle, I will wash my hair at night and then apply some hair products as soon as my hair feels towel dry.
Hair Products Used for this Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Tutorial
Right now, my sulfate-free volumizing shampoo from Briogeo soaks into my scalp during my showers and I finish off my hair care routine with some color conserve conditioner from Aveda. Next, I spritz 5-8 pumps of Not Your Mother’s 10-in-1 Protector that works great as a heat protectant. My wet brush allows me to gently brush out any knots or tangles. After my products are applied to my hair from scalp to ends, I take the Revlon hairdryer and start with the back of my head to dry it.
The Way I Use this Hairdryer Best:
When I grab a small section of hair from the back of my head and gently pull it outwards from underneath.
You can see how I do this in my IGTV that I’ve included in this post! I wrap my hair in small sections and pull my hair outwards to create more volume. It’s a similar technique that I would follow if I had a round brush in my hand and a regular hairdryer! The technique I follow involves twisting the brush part of the tool a few times to ensure the best results. I leave my hair on the brush part of the tool for at least 10 seconds before moving on to another section of hair.
