Can we officially start Spring shopping, yet?
Today I am sharing my Spring fashion at Urban Outfitters
March has arrived and I am looking forward to finding some cute new Spring things this season. Last month, I began my shopping a tad early by placing an online order with Urban Outfitters.
In my order, I picked out the embroidered pink puff-sleeve babydoll dress I’m wearing in this post as well as the iconic felt flat brim fedora hat that most bloggers own.
Let’s talk about this pretty dress first! When searching through Urban, I came across this embroidered puff-sleeve mini dress after no time at all. Instead of opting for the white dress, I ordered the light pink color. Like I mentioned in my previous February Target try-on haul, I haven’t been the biggest fan of the return of the babydoll dress.
Still, I ordered this embroidered dress with hopes that I’d change my mind and I did! Once this dress arrived I removed it from the box and began styling it up in my bedroom in front of my full-length mirror. Of course, I wanted to show it off SO badly! With an upcoming shoot planned with my photographer Sara, I patiently waited to pull it out in a couple of days.
When Friday rolled around and our shoot was in motion, this dress made its first appearance out on the streets of St. Petersburg. I chose to style this babydoll dress with a pair of knee-high boots, gold accessories, a knot headband, and a woven tote.
Considering I actually DON’T buy too frequently from Urban Outfitters, these purchases came outta left field. I’m a Target gal forever, k? With that being said, I just couldn’t find the right flat brim hat I wanted to wear all throughout Spring from Target. There was NO way I would be dropping over $100 on a fancy Lack Of Color hat which meant this Urban one looked as close as possible.
Gotta shout out ALL the bloggers talking about how similar to Urban Outfitters hat looks to the LOC one because the comparison applies. I’d compare the Urban hat to the “Ivory Rancher” Lack of Color one that goes for $129+ shipping.
With this hat investment from Urban, I’m feeling inspired to create more of a neutral palette for Spring this season. Yes, I will experiment with the latest tie-dye and neon trends in small doses, but a majority of my Spring looks will include warm neutral tones.
Investing in the beige Urban flat brim hat was my first step in the neutral direction. The Flat Brim Felt Fedora Hat didn’t set me back too much because it’s available at Urban Outfitters for under $45. Highly recommend checking out the Urban hat versus the Lack of Color one.
