The Best Skinny Ankle Pants

Personally, I’d rather wear a skirt or dress than pants on any given day. In fact, I normally wouldn’t even go out of my way to purchase pants this time of year.

This pair of red Plaid High-Rise Skinny Ankle Pants from the Target line A New Day™ slipped in my Target cart at the last minute. No joke, the fabric of these skinny ankle pants makes me want to order a second pair!

The added spandex woven into these skinny ankle pants is great for comfy all-day wear. For a morning out to the farmer’s market, I wore my plaid pants out with an asymmetrical top (see a similar one from REVOLVE).

These plaid pants would be great for teachers in schools or women working office jobs where you can experiment a little with colors and patterns. I’m loving the red gingham print in a classic, preppy checkered pattern on these affordable and trendy $25 pants.

The convenient side zipper also provides a nice snug closure and the stretchy spandex fabric makes me feel like I’m not even wearing skinny pants at all! What won me over the most about this specific pair of pants was the durable, flexible fabric I felt instantly in the store. I held up the pants and gave them a little tug to see how they might fit on me since the fitting rooms are still closed for now.

The other color options are nice, but I am definitely happy with this red checkered pattern. I plan on styling them with more white tops that I somehow keep collecting during the quarantine.

While prepping for my trip to the farmer’s market in the morning last week, I also made sure to take my floppy straw hat with me along for the ride. I hate ending up with a sunburn on the back of my neck!
