Yellow would not be a typical color to find in my closet. Heck, this poplin dress easily counts as my first official yellow dress, ever. As someone with such a light skin tone, I never thought yellow could look good on me. I’m glad I found this brighter yellow option in Target to wear for the summer.
The puffy sleeves and tie front details also drew me in. Whenever I see something cute with puffy sleeves it’s hard for me to pass up on the trend. Casual yellow dresses are finally in stock in stores such as Abercrombie and Forever 21!
Not sure if you can tell straight away unless I tell you, but I’m actually self-tanned in these photos.
My recent self-tan favorites are from the brand Isle of Paradise in the form of their self-tan water mist and self-tanning facial drops. Every two weeks I’ll completely scrub off the tan product from my skin and start over. The results are a seamless golden bronze appearance that will keep me tan for 5 days or so without reapplying the product.

Yellow sundresses look best paired with a straw hat and some gold accessories, wouldn’t you agree?
I picked up this $11 gold necklace from Amazon with my initial “A” on it and haven’t been able to stop wearing it. The 14K gold-filled pendant necklace has a heart and circle variation. Target has the best selection of straw hats for the summer on a budget. Mine is a Univeral Thread wide brim fedora that I’ll be able to wear during both afternoon boat trips and walks around the city.
