What is one item that I won’t leave home without during the summertime? A straw sun hat, of course! Hats are essential for me during the summer months. The hot blazing sun hits my face whenever I walk outside from June until August and I absolutely hate getting sunburnt because of it. That’s why I resort to stocking up on cute packable straw sun hats to shield my face from the sunshine.

A couple of places where I’ve seen straw sun hats popping up for sale are Target and Nordstrom. While out shooting this feminine summer outfit look last week, I wore my Universal Thread Straw Wide Brim Fedora Hat ($19.99) that I bought from Target. This straw hat protects my face, looks cute, and has the right amount of flop to it. In addition to wearing a straw hat, I also apply facial sunscreen in the morning before I start my day for even more UVA/UVB protection.

I am seriously crushing on the LoveShackFancy designer collection available exclusively at Target for the summer! By checking my Target Circle app on June 6th, I was able to snag a few dresses from both LoveShackFancy x Target and Lisa Marie Fernandez x Target.

Upon shopping at a different Target, I picked up the “Fleur” dress you see pictured in this post. The only sizes left were an 8 or a 14, so I quickly tossed the 8 into my cart just in time for my shoot with Sara over the weekend.

How freakin’ pretty does it look with the light pink florals and ruffles on the bustline!? I can’t believe how magical the dress photographed, too. Sara and I both agreed that this dress and the location where we took photos at felt like The Notebook vibes.
