Top 10 Fashion Boutiques in St. Petersburg
It’s about time I shout out some of my favorite fashion boutiques in St. Petersburg. With the pandemic in mind, I’ve been spending my stimulus check money giving back to the local community.
Now more than ever its imperative to support local boutiques, restaurants, and businesses in general so they stay afloat through this global crisis. Target and Walmart are major corporations that will survive through this pandemic, but the smaller guys desperately need our help.
Today’s post covers the top 10 fashion boutiques in St. Petersburg Florida. As a native to the area, I’ve seen firsthand how much growth and development St. Pete continues to experience each year. With the expansion of the historic Edge District and the booming 600 Block, it’s no secret that St. Pete continues to mold into a hip place to live in 2020.
I’m so proud to call this place my home! Along with ordering take-out from some of the best local restaurants in town, I’ve been filling my shopping void by stopping in at my favorite fashion boutiques for a couple of new tanks, dresses, and summer things. You’ll definitely spot me hanging out at these boutiques right now shopping for denim shorts and new swimsuits to wear to the beach!
Keep this list on your radar if you plan on visiting the area (safely! masks are required here) or if you’re local to St. Pete and looking for small businesses to support right now.
10 Trendy Fashion Boutiques in St. Petersburg
1. MISRED Outfitters
One of my favorite boutiques ever is MISRED Outfitters! At MISRED, you can find contemporary and trendy pieces all year round. MISRED Outfitters was named the best boutique in 2020, too.
With new arrivals daily, MISRED makes for a convenient place in downtown St. Pete for all shopaholics to find a new purse, pair of beach sandals, or date night dress. The store also recently expanded and next door you can find an excellent array of accessories to spruce up any look. Shop their online store for even more contemporary finds.
2. Ashe Couture Boutique
Another contemporary and bohemian boutique in the area is Ashe Couture. Located along Central Avenue in the up and coming Edge District, Ashe Couture Boutique has long reigned as one of the best places to shop for locals and out of towners alike.
Casual bohemian favorites from brands like Free People meets beach bum style in the form of Billabong bikinis at Ashe Couture. The swim collections featured at Ashe are constantly restocked with new styles added just in time for socially-distanced beach days! Be sure to stay updated with the boutique online through their Instagram profile, too.
3. The Shop
Whenever my friends and I talk about The Shop in front of people who don’t know about the popular store, we get strange looks! The Shop may have a generic name, but the locals know exactly what you’re talking about when mentioning this 4th Street store.
Growing up, my friends and I shopped at The Shop for all of our homecoming dresses and formal occasion outfits. For date nights out and around the city, I suggest stopping in for a peak. The Shop carries suitable options for future weekend dinner and drinks outfits.
4. The Fashion Spot Boutique
Another one of the best fashion boutiques in St. Petersburg that just opened up this year: The Fashion Spot. One of my good friends owns the store with her mom, too. The Fashion Spot carries everything from casual basics, colorful prints, to slip-on sandals and tons of gold accessories.
The Fashion Spot Boutique keeps prices fair while providing customers with the latest trendy pieces. The newest fashion boutique in St. Pete has lots of flirty feminine touches with floral printed mini dresses, pastel camisoles, and breezy skirts. I had to include their flower wall, too! It makes for the ideal Insta-photo spot to style your new outfit in front of.

5. Canvas Fashion Gallery
Canvas Fashion Gallery has some of the best brands, ever! With new arrivals from BB Dakota and Show Me Your MuMu, Canvas Fashion Gallery takes pride in offering name brands. Two of the highlights of the store include its wide selection of stretchy PAIGE denim and comfortable Dolce Vita sandals. I find myself popping in every few weeks to see what’s new in stock for the upcoming season!
Upon entering Canvas Fashion Gallery, you’ll always be greeted by the cheerful associates who offer refreshing water or coffee beverages as you shop! It’s one of the top reasons why I feel so relaxed shopping inside the store. I’d suggest stopping by Canvas if you’re looking for a show-stopping date night dress.
6. Hallie Mae’s Boutique
Spending some time near the beach? If your St. Pete vacation takes you down to beautiful St. Pete Beach, definitely add Hallie Mae’s Boutique to your shopping list! My sister and I took a break to visit a couple of places along Gulf Blvd and we walked into Hallie Mae’s on a whim after ordering some acai bowls.
I ended up finding a gorgeous white and blue maxi dress along with a peachy graphic tee for the summer! Hallie Mae’s combines the best in casual beachwear with stylish sundresses and vacation must-haves.
7. Marion’s
Another popular and thriving boutique in the St. Pete area is Marion’s. Since 1987, Marion’s has evolved with the times to become a one-stop-shop.
Not only does Marion’s offer beautiful trinkets and home decor items, but they also feature local St. Pete treasures to savor the memories of visiting the Tampa Bay area. The go-to gift store has everything from St. Pete soy candles to plush pillows bearing the name of this beloved city.
8. Shandy Style Boutique
Head up 4th street to shop at Shandy Style the next time you are hunting for an effortless, tropical dress to soak up the Florida weather looking chic and feeling good. Shandy Style Boutique not only looks beautiful inside but the variety of trendy tops, bottoms, and dresses will impress. Be sure to follow their active Instagram account where the lovely ladies do outfit try-on sessions featuring the best new arrival.
9. Brutique
Upon a recent name change from Bartique to Brutique, it’s important to note that everything else about this eclectic bar/clothing store combo has remained the same! Head up to the bar to grab some refreshing mimosas as you shop the rest of the store.
Voted best dog-friendly Retail-and-Alcohol Mashup by Creative Loafing, it’s a place like no other. With your pup in tow, bring your buddy along for a relaxing afternoon filled with a bit of local booze and retail therapy at Brutique. Shop the latest arrivals online or visit the brick and mortar location during your travels down to sunny downtown St. Pete.
10. Plain Jane
Plain Jane — a store that’s anything but plain! Plain Jane just recently moved up and out of the Edge District and over to the iconic 600 Block of St. Pete. Plain Jane opened up with the concept in mind to adhere to those who crave easy style with muted tones and soft fabrics.
The West Coast vibe of the shop feels evident when wandering through the bookshelves of locally crafted artisan pieces. During the summer months, Plain Jane frequently sets up a pop-up area on the weekends for weekly events such as The Saturday Morning Market or the Indie Flea Market. Plain Jane includes both clothing and gift items with a high-quality, coastal twist.
