Flower Beauty Makeup Review
Hey, there! Welcome to Affordable by Amanda. It’s been a minute since I’ve done beauty reviews! After an awesome sponsorship with Physicians Formula in the Fall, I am eager to jump back into the drugstore beauty world.
Flower Beauty Makeup Review
While browsing through the beauty aisles at CVS, I was happily surprised to find Flower Beauty fully-stocked with everything from lip products to eye-shadow quads. Flower Beauty, a clean beauty brand by celebrity Drew Barrymore, sells at Walmart already, but I noticed a wide assortment of new releases at CVS!
In my basket I picked up gorgeous peachy-nude Flower Beauty products to gather for a YouTube video and blog post. In today’s post, I am breaking down my first impressions of the products I ended up taking back home with me. If you want to see all of these products on my face definitely check out my new beauty tutorial on YouTube below.

Flower Beauty Makeup Review
Flower Beauty Supernova Celestial Priming Whip
In a recent PR package from CVS, I received this purple can of primer. The formulation of the Celestial Priming Whip felt light and airy just like whipped cream!
According to reviews online, you can either layer the rest of your makeup over this whipped primer or wear it alone. Honestly, I am going to need more applications with this primer to figure out how I feel about it. I didn’t notice anything truly obvious to hide pores on my skin once it went on.
Flower Beauty Get Real Serum Foundation
The Get Real Serum Foundation is a brand new launch from Flower Beauty. The $15 foundation needed quite a few layers for me to notice a fuller coverage effect. For someone who wants a light coverage, this serum foundation offers a skin-like finish.
The coverage built-up over time once I applied more of it to my face. After I finished applying a few layers, I saw a glowy appearance to my skin and it definitely looked natural! The $15 Flower Beauty serum foundation has lavender flower water to brighten and refresh the skin as well as olive oil for antioxidant properties.
For my skin tone, I picked up the shade “Porcelain L1” and it melted beautifully into my skin to match me really nicely. The color also never oxidized and changed colors on me which I appreciated while I spent my day filming and taking mirror selfies for my LTK profile.

Flower Beauty Fiber Fix Brow Gel
My makeup collection needed more eyebrow products this month! While checking out the Flower Beauty section of CVS, I noticed a few brow options. I finally wound up going with a fiber fix brow gel in “Light Brown”. In my opinion, this brow gel gets a 10/10.
When I filmed my YouTube video featuring all of these new products, the brow gel instantly stood out. The tiny fibers sculpted and added pigment to my sparse eyebrows with a few strokes. I chose the shade “Light Brown” because the color would look close to my natural brows.
Flower Beauty Heatwave Bronzer – Sunswept
Upon choosing a bronzer, I had two options at CVS and I went with the lighter shade to match my fair skin tone best. Once I unwrapped the bronzer from its packaging it reminded me of the Hourglass Ambient Light Bronzer that retails for $52.
The swirls of light brown and glimmering dusty pink inside the Heatwave Bronzer ended up making my cheekbones look sculpted and bronzed. The Flower Beauty bronzer reveals a beautiful luminous glow on my cheekbones and it doesn’t take too much product for it to appear!
Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops
In my summer beauty routine, I experimented with cream products for the first time. I am continuing to look for cream or liquid products that will perform well for the warm Florida weather. Ever since I watched beauty influencers review the Selena Gomez makeup collection Rare Beauty, I’ve been dying to try her blush products!
The Selena Gomez Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, $20, has a blendable consistency that provides incredible pay-off once applied to the face. I’d compare these Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops to the Rare Beauty Liquid Blush!
For my makeup tutorial I chose the shade “Pinched” for its blush-nude tones. The clear dropper disperses the liquid blush easily and the product looks peachy against my fair complexion. It didn’t take a lot of the liquid blush to achieve a flushed look, either. I’d be careful when applying this liquid blush to the cheeks because it spreads out fast and you can over do it with too much.
Flower Beauty Petal Play Shadow Quad
My options for eye-shadow palettes from Flower Beauty were limited at CVS. However, I am glad the new releases were in stock to choose from.
The quad color I went for is called “Gilded Lily”. For my beauty look on YouTube, I chose the light pink matte shade to layer all over my eyelid.
Next, I chose the dark brown/berry shade to add depth in the outer corner of my eyes. I popped on the shimmery pink shade in the center of my eyelid for a touch of shine! The palette from Flower Beauty reminded me of the $43 Charlotte Tilbury eye-shadow quads.
Flower Beauty Mix N’ Matte Lip Duo – Melon Kiss
Another stand out product from my Flower Beauty haul: the lipstick duo! The color I picked out is Melon Kiss which has the most stunning peach color.
The matte lipstick glides on easily and the color shows up with just a few applications. I added the pink gloss from the other end of tube to finish the lip look.
