Best Spring Beauty Products | Spring Makeup Trends 2021

Hi, love! Welcome to today’s beauty blog post. For Spring and into Summer, I am looking forward to playing around with new beauty products to grow my collection.

At the start of a new season, beauty brands usually release Spring launches filled with exciting new products to try!

As someone who loves fashion and beauty equally, I am thrilled to sit down and share some Spring Makeup Trends that I’ve seen floating around both Instagram and TikTok.

Over this past week I checked out my local CVS and grabbed whatever new viral TikTok makeup products I could.

Luckily for me, my local CVS had the infamous L’Oreal Infallible Powder Foundation in stock in my shade. On Target’s website they are fulled sold out so I truly hit the jackpot with my find. I picked up the lightest shade “Pearl” to wear in my YouTube video try-on haul.

Spring Makeup Trends 2021

1. Glossy Lips

One of the biggest Spring Makeup Trends we’ll be seeing? Glossy lips! A recent beauty product purchase of mine is the Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Petal. To say I was impressed by this lip gloss would be such an understatement — it blew me away.

My lips felt and looked fuller as soon as the gloss applied on my lips and the pigment looked like something you’d get from a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick.

These $7.00 lip glosses are a hit on TikTok and now I get the hype behind them! I picked up the shade Petal to wear during my YouTube try-on film sesh and it ended up looking great on camera, too.

2. Bold Brows

Thick and bold brows are going to be another huge trend in the beauty world for Spring 2021. To achieve bold eyebrows, I suggest using a brow gel to add both pigment and thickness.

Honestly, by spending so much time at home in 2020, I let my eyebrows grow out and now I am so thankful that I never plucked them.

3. Viral TikTok Makeup Products

Not sure if you are addicted to watching and scrolling on TikTok like I am, but I’ve been researching some viral TikTok makeup products to include here that are worth mentioning.

Two of the viral makeup products seen here are the L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Fresh Wear Foundation and the e.l.f. Camo CC Cream. This powder foundation made it’s way onto TikTok last month for it’s supreme full-coverage and mask-proof wearability.

Upon using the powder foundation on my own face, I saw why people have been freaking out over it! It left my oily skin looking matte and fresh. The color “Pearl” might be too light for me at the moment since I still have some self-tan on, but it still looks great nonetheless.

Even for a powder foundation you won’t end up looking cakey or see dry patches because the formula of the L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Fresh Wear Foundation contains weightless and non-drying properties.

4. Makeup Product “Dupes”

I’ve always raved about how much I LOVE wearing the IT Cosmetics CC Cream here on my blog. You can visit this blog post to read why I enjoy using it the most during the summer months.

When I heard about a possible drugstore dupe for the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, I had to get my hands on it. Turns out e.l.f. released an amazing “dupe” for my favorite summer CC Cream.

The $14.00 e.l.f. Camo CC Cream works similarly to their Camo Concealer because it gives the skin a thick, full-coverage color-correcting effect. IT Cosmetics CC cream has built-in color-correcting properties, too. I think TikTok really nailed this product as a dupe for the pricier IT Cosmetics one.

5. Less Is More

For me personally, I’ve been adopting a less is more approach to beauty since the initial state-wide quarantine last year began. I am certain plenty of regular makeup lovers have decreased the amount of days spent wearing full-faces of makeup.

The less is more approach to makeup continues into 2021 where celebrities and influencers alike tend to skip the heavy-duty foundation and opt for natural coverage.

With the less is more motto in mind, I’ve been using brow gel and mascara on days when I don’t feel up to packing on foundation.

Two products that are meant to help create a natural-looking complexion are the e.l.f. Putty Primer and my mascara of choice, Lash Warrior by Flower Beauty.

I just recently picked up the e.l.f. Putter Primer for myself. Apparently you can either wear the primer on its own or apply it underneath foundation for a seamless, poreless finish. So far so good! I need to obviously wear it more often to really see the difference it provides for my makeup routine.
