10 Affordable Fall Must Haves

Each fall season I end up buying myself a new wool hat. Amazon has a lot of great inexpensive wool felt hats to choose from. During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July, I scored a great brown and creme felt hat for myself for under $40. Every so often my exact hat comes back in stock, too.

Last year, I only experimented with the shacket or “shirt jacket” trend toward the end of the fall/winter season. Now I am fully immersed in this trend! Abercrombie & Fitch, Old Navy, Amazon, and more retailers are also fully embracing this fall trend.

Most of my fall boots are from Target. I’ve owned this exact pair of taupe scrunch boots from Target for the past year. Luckily, Target understands the obsession with this pair of boots.

The brand brought the Lainee Heeled Scrunch Boots from Universal Thread™ for fall 2021. I can’t say enough good things about these knee high boots! They run true to size and I have the size 10.

dad coats for fall/winter

Another classic must have for fall: the dad coat. Abercrombie & Fitch has a bunch of dad coats right now, but they are sadly over $200 bucks! Thankfully, Walmart has some super similar styles for way less. Check out this dad coat at Walmart for under $50.

My tan coat as seen in the photo below came from Old Navy. It was a great find last year and sold out so fast after it appeared online! Hopefully, I can find another coat from Old Navy to link for you. For now, I suggest looking at Walmart for the best deals on budget-friendly dad coats.

Personally, I love wearing skirts with boots this time of year! Especially here in Florida where the weather still feels hot up until November.

Pairing mini skirts and boots together helps me channel my inner fall gal while staying comfortable. Faux suede mini skirts are some of my absolute favorites to wear. Recently, I picked out a cute faux suede mini skirt from Abercrombie that I ended up adoring.

Jeans can be difficult to shop for. As someone who has a smaller waist and larger hips, I find jeans painful to try on in stores. With so many advancements in the jean world, I finally have a few stand-out jeans in my collection to share with you.

Abercrombie and Old Navy are two places where I find awesome jeans! First of all, I don’t buy any jeans that feel stiff to the touch. All of my denim jeans fit to my body with plenty of stretch and movement to them. For reference I wear a size 30R (regular) at Abercrombie and a 10 at Old Navy.

One of this fall’s biggest trends: quilted or “puffy” bags! Last month, I picked up a white quilted shoulder crossbody bag from H&M for myself. My white quilted “puffy” shoulder bag looks eerily similar to the expensive Bottega Veneta version. Get the designer look for less by shopping at Amazon, too. For sweaters, I seem to gravitate toward a mockneck pullover each fall/winter season. Take a look at one of my favorite outfits from last fall. My exact green H&M mock neck sweater has returned again and is back in stock. Mine is a medium but I recommend sizing down.

Mockneck sweaters look chic paired with mini skirts, but you could easily wear it with a park of jeans. Another style tip: wear your mockneck sweater with a pair of trendy faux leather leggings or Spanx leggings.

Sweater vests are this season’s biggest trend ever! Don’t think you can’t pull it off. Yes, I also felt super intimidated by this fall trend. To style my sweater vest mini dress from Abercrombie, I grabbed my boyfriend’s white button down from our closet. I buttoned it up all the way and slipped over my sweater vest dress.

Now I am on the hunt for a dark brown sweater vest. Either Amazon or H&M are where I’ll ultimately make my purchase.
