10 Best Budget-Friendly Summer Staples
1. Ribbed Tank Top
As we see the “Back to Basics” trend take off for summer 2023, ribbed tank tops are a summer essential to wear with printed bottoms. I own a few ribbed tank tops from Old Navy and Walmart that are under $15, but feel nice quality. This brown ribbed high-neck tank top find from Old Navy has held up in the wash, too.

Are linen shorts too simple for you? You may want to elevate this basic item by investing in a stylish linen wrap skort. Mine comes from Target and it’s budget-friendly for $22. Now I own both the light khaki and white color options in this mini skort.

A pair of everyday sandals should also be part of your summer essentials list. I recently picked up a neutral brown double banded sandal at Target when they were 20% off. I already have the block heel version to this sandal so I knew I would like the flat ones! On me they fit true to size.
4. White Denim Shorts
A classic pair of white denim shorts needs to be part of your everyday summer wardrobe. My favorite places to shop for white denim shorts are Old Navy and LOFT. Check these stores for regular sales because you can get a pair of white denim shorts on major sale when you shop at the right time!
5. Shirt Dress
With my feminine style, I typically choose a shirt dress with eyelet details. This gorgeous white eyelet shirt dress is a recent arrival to Walmart and I absolutely love the fit of it!
6. Summer Bag
For a summer bag, I would choose a bag that works for your lifestyle. Are you a busy mom on the go? Choose a practical cross body bag. You can definitely find the right summer bag to complement your every day activities. 7. Oversized Sunglasses
On Amazon, I usually find the best affordable sunglasses that give me a designer look for less. For summer 2023, I chose to order a new neutral pair of over sized sunglasses from the Sojos brand. I will link my exact sunglasses for you here!
8. Tailored Shorts
Even though tailored shorts can be looked at as a trendy style, I wanted to feature them in this post because you can achieve a polished look for less. While browsing at Old Navy, I ended up buying a new pair of tailored trouser shorts for under $30! Mine are in the medium (as seen here) and I believe they fit pretty true to size. 9. Cotton Sundress
When it comes to summer dresses, cotton and linen are the best fabrics to go with. At Abercrombie and Fitch, I picked out a few cotton and linen dresses to style for the blog and over on YouTube.
