Tops
Mock Neck Sweater – a soft eyelash mock neck sweater is ideal as an early fall top.
Long Sleeve Turtleneck – a classic fall top for layering. You can find inexpensive long sleeve turtlenecks at H&M.
Square Neck Ribbed Top – square neck styles are always flattering. I have a few long sleeve square neck tops from Target that are great for wearing underneath jackets.
Turtleneck Sweater – another classic top for the fall season is a turtleneck sweater. Personally I think a chunky turtleneck sweater looks best for a nice over sized look! Pair a turtleneck sweater with a midi skirt for a relaxed feminine look.
Graphic Sweatshirt – normally I do not wear graphic sweatshirts, but I really like the neutral look to this Paris graphic sweatshirt from H&M. You can easily style a graphic sweatshirt casually with denim jeans or wear it with trousers for a sophisticated approach.

Outerwear
Shacket – you can find a neutral shacket, or shirt jacket, to wear over tank tops for an effortless casual fall outfit. You can also find a plaid shacket to add some color and pattern to your basic fall outfits, too.
Lady Jacket – lady jackets have quickly become fashion statement pieces for this fall. See how many different ways I’ve styled a lady jacket in this recent blog post.
Quilted Puffer Jacket – another classic jacket style is a puffer. Most of your favorite retailers have puffer jackets for sale this time of year. You can also order a classic puffer jacket off Amazon if you need one in a matter of days.
Wool Blend Coat – wool blend coats are perfect for cool days. I like to layer my brown wool blend coat over a white bodysuit and mini skirt for a girly fall outfit.
Knit Blazer (optional) – if you are working in an office setting I would suggest adding a knit blazer into your fall wardrobe. I recently found my perfect fall knit blazer from Quince for a serious deal in a gorgeous camel tone.

Bottoms
Faux Leather Pants – elevate a simple fall look with a touch of faux leather. I would look for cream or brown faux leather pants to include in the bottoms category of your fall wardrobe.
Denim Jeans – classic denim jeans are a fall must-have. For me, I buy my jeans at Old Navy and Walmart for affordable and stretchy straight leg denim.
Denim Skirt (short or long) – long denim skirts are on trend right now, but if that’s not your style, opt for a short denim mini skirt instead.
Wide Leg Trousers – in the summer I first fell in love with wide leg trouser pants! In the summer I wore my neutral trousers with bodysuits. For the fall, you can still pair trousers with bodysuits and add a chunky cardigan over it for a cozy vibe.
Satin Midi Skirt – wear a chunky knit sweater with a soft satin slip skirt for a chic fall outfit. My favorite satin slip skirts are from Old Navy and now I love my new washable silk skirt from Quince.
Plaid Mini Skirt – add a plaid skirt to your wardrobe as a staple piece because it’s easy to match sweaters, bodysuits, and cardigans with on top. My favorite plaid skirt is from Old Navy for under $40.
Faux Leather Mini Skirt – another skirt to include in your fall wardrobe this season? A faux leather mini skirt. Old Navy continues to impress me with their skirt selections! I have yet another gorgeous mini skirt recommendation from Old Navy in a dark brown color that has a nice length to it, too.

Shoes
Mary Janes (Ballet Flats) – ballet flats and especially Mary Janes are trending as popular fall shoe styles for 2023. You can dress these shoes up or down depending on the occasion.
Loafers – the perfect work shoe is a neutral loafer. Target and Walmart have made some of my favorite mules/loafers in the past.
Neutral Sneakers – easy and practical shoes for the fall are neutral sneakers. Not only can you wear your favorite comfy sneakers with denim jeans, but I think you can wear them with satin slip skirts, too. Look at the outfit I put together below with a graphic sweatshirt, midi skirt, and neutral sneakers for inspo.
Ankle Boots – I’ve owned the same ankle boots for years now because I love how the side slit detail looks flattering on the foot.
Knee High Boots – knee high boots are typically what I style with mini skirts this time of year. DSW, Walmart, and Amazon have my top picks for well-made and affordable knee high boots.
