First Aid Beauty Reviews | FAB Pharma BHA Acne Spot Treatment
Two new skincare products from the brand First Aid Beauty are meant to treat acne breakouts for even the most sensitive skin types.
The FAB Pharma line from First Aid Beauty was sent to me in a PR package to try out.
Even though I don’t deal with nearly as many breakouts as I once did, I still see pesky breakouts pop up here and there.
Especially during the hotter summer months, my skin can experience tiny breakouts from sweating and overproducing oil.
Now that we are mandated to wear masks in Florida due to the pandemic, I’ve been experiencing some mask breakouts on my chin.
These two products couldn’t have arrived at a better time! Since I started using them, I’ve been eager to write my honest reviews on each product here on the blog.
Beauty and skincare are two topics that I absolutely love chatting about on my blog and on my Instagram stories.
First Aid Beauty products are also cruelty-free and use clean ingredients. The two new products to their FAB Pharma line are safe for sensitive skin, too.
Let’s chat more about my personal experience using these two skincare products from First Aid Beauty at night to treat my breakouts.
1. FAB Pharma White Clay Acne Treatment Pads
I just checked online at Sephora and these facial pads are currently out of stock! The fact that this new product is already out of stock definitely means people are enjoying them.
Back in my early teen days, when pimples just started to take over my face, I’d rely on heavy-duty pads filled with alcohol to treat my skin problems. The old acne pads were NOTΒ helpful at all to combat my breakouts!
In fact, I believe the pads only made my skin look and feel worse. Of course, I loved that burning sensation I felt when I rubbed a treatment pad all over my face. I thought I was making a difference.
Boy was I wrong! Those acne pads were the worst decision ever. My teen years were filled with desperation. In my pursuit of clear skin, I gave them all a try. Every single drugstore acne treatment pad made its way onto my bathroom counter to no avail.
All these acne pads did was dry out my skin to “seem” like they worked to eliminate my breakouts at first. Little did I know how detrimental alcohols are to the skin.
These days, I use absolutely 0 products with added alcohols because they dry out the skin and can cause more breakouts. Reading the label on this container of acne treatment pads and seeing no alcohol added made me super happy to start using them at night. Alcohol-free pads are fantastic for the skin and I only wish my younger self realized this sooner!

Looking at the ingredients list for this acne treatment was the first thing I did once I unboxed the PR package from First Aid Beauty. With my past experience using dreaded alcohol-packed acne treatment pads, I have to say I felt skeptical about these.
The ingredients list made me feel more confident that the pads would not overdry my skin because the 60 pre-soaked pads were free from alcohol, fragrance, parabens, mineral oil, and more harsh ingredients.
The main active ingredient found in the FAB Pharma White Clay Acne Treatment Pads is 2% salicylic acid which is known as an FDA approved acne-fighting ingredient. Even after completing my Accutane treatment I still look for products with ingredients like 2% salicylic acid to fight active breakouts on my skin.
Salicylic acid continues to keep my breakouts at bay. It’s great that these acne treatment pads have 2% salicylic acid to treat blemishes without stripping the skin of important oils. It’s a gentle and effective ingredient.

After using these acne pads consistently for the past 2 weeks, my tiny breakouts have subsided. I saw breakouts forming on my chin and next to my nose. I’d have to say I’m impressed by these acne pads in a way I never imagined myself feeling about something so traumatic from my teen years. No wonder they are currently sold out!
2. First Aid Beauty FAB Pharma BHA Acne Spot Treatment
Another new product on the market from First Aid Beauty: an acne spot treatment gel!
As much as I love the salicylic acid acne treatment pads, I’m not so much a fan of this treatment gel. It might be my personal taste when it comes to acne spot treatments.
A couple of my favorite acne spot treatments have sulfur to dry up pimples overnight. I’m such a texture person and I enjoy using thick moisturizers and spot treatments with visible signs that it’s working on my face. The spot treatment from First AId Beauty melts into the skin in a way that I wish it didn’t as it feels like it’s not doing much.

Unfortunately, the lightweight gel felt too goopy for me. The clear gel seemed to slide around my face and move past the areas where I wanted to treat my active breakouts.

After looking over the reviews online, the gel received high praise from most users enjoying the effectiveness of this spot treatment. Of course, I’ll be continuing to see if I change my mind on it in the future.
Some products are hits for me and misses for others! The FAB Parma Acne Spot Treatment doesn’t match up with my other spot treatments in this case.
However, I will promote this product as something great for sensitive skin based on its powerful yet gentle ingredients list. BHA (beta hydroxy acid) found in this tube helps unclog pores and even out skin tone.
BHA (also known as salicylic acid) sheds built-up layers of skin in a gentle way. Other soothing ingredients such as papaya and aloe balance out the acne medication part of this gel treatment to keep the skin feeling hydrated and calm.
