Fall 2020 Home Decor Ideas and What’s Trending
Are you thinking about fall yet? It’s only August, but I can already see retailers gearing up for the fall season. The focus for this fall, in particular, will have soft neutrals, lots of brass elements, playful rust and olive tones, as well as using dried plants for decorative purposes. Today I am happily rounding up a bunch of my personal stand-out pieces from all of the Target home decor designers.
A couple of the best Target home decor designers featured in these collages are Heart & Hand With Magnolia™, Project 62™, and Threshold™. These lines offer trendy and affordable home decor pieces to add to your home this fall season. Whether it’s a new console table for the entryway or some textured throw pillows, Target has it all.
Target Home Decor Pieces That Caught My Eye
- Border Stripe Throw Blanket – Can one truly have enough blankets? I think not! I am loving the cream and rust stripe pattern to this new throw blanket. The design resembles one of an extremely expensive Hermes blanket but luckily this one comes in at under $20! I am torn between the olive green or the rusted pumpkin.
- Ceramic Textured Decorative Bowl – bowls are super versatile pieces to pick up each season. The natural-hued stoneware bowl looks super luxe for the inexpensive and low price of $30 compared to some $100 ones I’ve seen at Pottery Barn or Anthropologie. I plan on buying this to keep on top of our entryway console table as a bowl to store keys, wallets, and face masks.
- Block Print Coir Doormat – something else I enjoy picking up at the beginning of a new season? Doormats. One for the front door and one for the back door leading out to the patio. This block print coir doormat has a nice simple black printed design.

- Multi Texture Dash Throw Pillow – call me pillow obsessed because I want even more decorative pillows on my couch! The new throw pillows from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia are perfect for adding a fall tone to the gray couch in our living room. The multi-texture dash pillows have just enough design to lay on the couch. No matter the season, I typically collect neutral colored pillows.
-
Amber Glass Vase – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia – another element I plan on purchasing for the home this fall is amber-colored glass. I’m eager to decorate the living room table with stacks of books and a few of these amber glass vases filled with dried pampas grass. Part of my dream home decor includes adding touches of antiques mixed with modern-day pieces. The rich amber shade of these glass vases ($14.99 +up) helps me achieve a refined-yet-rustic look.
- Seasonal Large Ceramic 4-Wick Candle – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia – all-year-round Brian and I love to burn candles in each room of the house. Seriously, one day I spent $100 on candles alone at Target! We aren’t too picky with candle scents, but I’d say I prefer sandalwood, peony, rose, and warm vanilla-scented candles the most. It takes a professional candle buyer to type out her exact favorites, ha! This warm and inviting terracotta ceramic container will be a nice addition to complement the rest of my fall decor once I start the process of updating the home.

Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia Kitchen Must-Haves
- 4pk Dishcloth Set Pumpkin Brown / Gray – New season, new kitchen towels! Dishcloths are a fun way to add some color to a kitchen. For fall I am gravitating toward the rust tones a lot. This 4-pack of dishcloths ($9.99) includes a variety of colors – a mix of rust orange, cream, and gray.
- Board + Cheese Knife Set – One of the things I want to try this fall is coming up with a cheese and cracker board. I am also more likely to create a charcuterie board at home when the plate looks stunning and Instagrammable! The set includes three cheese knives, a cheese board, and serving shovel for the ultimate charcuterie set up!
- Oil & Vinegar Pour Set – Hearth & Hand with Magnolia – this oil & vinegar set looks incredibly stylish and mid-century modern. I love the clear glass look so much and can’t wait to pick these up from Target for the kitchen. The set is also affordable at $12.99 and it easily looks like something you could find at Anthropologie for a lot more money.
