January Favorites
One month into 2020, check! Wow, January is actually over…
I felt like this month took forever to end! I am so happy to finally have time to write out my January favorites. Although I had a lot to do this month, such as plan out shoots for campaigns and finally move my blog from Blogger to WordPress, January has finally come to an end. Today I am sharing my January favorites. From fashion finds to beauty obsessions, I am breaking down all the things I truly loved throughout the first month of 2020. Let’s get started.
January Fashion Favorites
Hollister Vintage Stretch Distressed Mom Jeans
Since I cover a lot of affordable fashion on my blog and Insta, I must include a list of fashion favorites from January! Obviously, I can’t leave out my latest Hollister mom jeans. My list would not be complete without mentioning these vintage ultra high-rise distressed jeans. Hollister jeans were never in my closet until I found this pair of easy denim to style with everything. On my to-do list for January included finding the right pair of distressed mom jeans (I sized up to a 30)
that didn’t feel difficult to pull on and off. One thing I hate about jeans? Feeling stuck in them all day long! All of my jeans need to be stretchy and feel comfortable or else they sit on the bottom of my pile.

Time and Tru Pullover Sweater + Pants
Another January fashion favorite worth mentioning? My cozy gray set from Walmart! After ordering this set online and seeing a fellow blogger babe wear it on her Insta, I had high hopes. Within the first few days of wearing this matching set, I didn’t take it off! Day after day I was reaching for it. Loungewear tops my list for January faves because the colder weather finally reached us down in Florida and I wanted to feel cozy for it. With this set, I picked up mediums in the pullover and cozy pants that fit perfectly.

My New Facial and Body Cleansers
Jumping into my January beauty favorites next. A recent cleanser I’ve been using since December costs under $15.00 for over 10 oz of product which blows my mind. Available at Amazon and Ulta, the La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Face Wash lives up to its name because the face wash definitely creates a nice foaming lather whenever I use it on my skin. You will not be able to stop using this stuff once you try it out!
Free from sulfates and nasty chemicals, this foaming face wash will work on all skin types. Say hello to my new (affordable) daily cleanser! After washing my face with the La Roche-Posay face wash, I typically grab my Love Beauty & Planet Body Wash. Smelling like roses makes me feel so refreshed when I use this natural body wash in the shower. This set from Walmart is $14.00 for a body wash, shampoo, and conditioner that smells like roses.

The Only Eyeshadow I Wore in January
Switching from facial cleansers to eyeshadow, I must mention my adoration for this compact e.l.f. eyeshadow palette. The three colors included in this eyeshadow palette are all perfect for achieving an easy everyday eye look in the morning. Check it out at Target for $5.00 in two shades — I have the color “Rose All Day”. In case you are looking for some Valentine’s Day makeup inspo, I also mention this exact eyeshadow palette over in my Valentine’s Day Drugstore Makeup blog post.
Two New Lipsticks I Loved in January
Both of these lipsticks are matte lipsticks that dry down and won’t smudge. The first lipstick I will mention leaves a soft pinkish nude tint to the lips from Charlotte Tilbury in the creamy shade, “Pillowtalk”. This super popular lipstick made its way into my Sephora cart during the holiday season. Obviously, as someone who loves beauty, I had to try it out for myself. The Pillowtalk shade lives up to the hype and provides just the right hint of nude color. Grab this lipstick if you are looking for a luxurious matte nude shade.
One more lipstick worth mentioning in my January favorites has a better price point from Maybelline, a drugstore brand. My latest drugstore lipstick find this month took me by surprise. The crayon formula of the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon Lipstick has a curved tip applicator for a seriously precise and smooth application. At $8.00, I am definitely picking up more shades in addition to the vibrant pink shade “Run the World” that I currently wear.
TV/Netflix Favorites
Not only did I love some great fashion and beauty finds in January, but I also spend a lot of the month relaxing at home and loving some new TV shows! Netflix released a couple of outstanding shows for Brian and me to enjoy together. One of our favorite shows to watch at night was The Circle. We were hooked to each episode! Another show we wrapped up together was Stranger Things. Brian had already finished it months ago, but this was my first time watching all 3 seasons and I am completely caught up with the show now. Stranger Things season 4 will be here in 2021 and it’s going to be such a great new season.
