Target Try On January 2020
My friend Sara from the blog Sara Magnolia and I drove over to Tampa this week to see what we could find at Target. Today I am sharing our first Target try on January 2020 edition. (see her version of our haul HERE!)
The Tampa Target we ended up going to had such a wide variety from each of the clothing lines available at Target, too. I couldn’t believe the way this Target was laid out! The store was so organized.
Each of the exclusive Target brand lines (Universal Thread, Wild Fable, etc.) had a special dedicated area full of tops, bottoms, and even accessories. Both of us looked through the new arrivals for our Target try on January 2020 edition to see what cute things we could find. I recently did my first try-on with looks at Walmart back in October 2019.
Each look you see in this blog post today is styled based on our preferences and individual sizes. All of the January 2020 new arrivals will be featured in this blog post under the images where Sara and I styled the pieces differently. My sizes for reference: I am 5’6″ tall. I wear a medium for pants, size 10 for jeans, size medium for tops. Sara’s sizes for reference: she is 5’3″ and typically wears size 10 bottoms and small or medium tops.

We both ended up LOVING these super cozy and soft ribbed lounge pants so much. We had to figure out what sizes would work best for us and Sara sized up to a large and I went with a medium. Sara removed the belt and I kept the belt tied in a bow. These are very stylish pants to have in your closet right now.
The fabric is super comfortable for the winter weather we’re experiencing right now in Florida. I imagine myself wearing these lounge pants around the house when I am working from home. To style these pants for a daytime look, Sara added some layers with her chic faux leather moto jacket. A must-have fashionable item!!
On Sara: Crewneck Chunky Sweater ($24.49) // High-Rise Distressed Straight Ankle Wild Fable Jeans ($23.00) // Zipper Back Bootie ($37.99)
On Me: V-Neck Cardigan ($24.99) // High-Rise Distressed Straight Ankle Wild Fable Jeans ($23.00) // Zipper Back Bootie ($37.99)

Oh, these awesome jeans! We also couldn’t pass up buying these high-rise distressed jeans from the Wild Fable brand at Target. During our try-on session, we ended up wearing the same exact size! We are both wearing a size 10 in these jeans. As per some reviews online, these jeans follow a funky sizing. Another woman who left a review on these jeans said that she’s normally a size 6, but she also had to size up to a 10 as we did.
Once you size up or down correctly, you’ll love wearing these straight leg distressed jeans as much as we did in the fitting room. The button-up detail also reminded us both of Madewell jeans that can easily cost you over $100 per pair. Do yourself a huge favor and try out some Wild Fable jeans the next time you end up in Target, ok? I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
On Sara: Balloon Long Sleeve Round Neck Blouse ($29.99) //
On Me: Balloon Long Sleeve Round Neck Blouse ($29.99) // Black Skinny Ankle Pants ($29.99) // Zipper Back Bootie ($37.99)
Isn’t this yellow top so pretty? Gotta love the puffy sleeves. A tiny floral print will be cute for springtime, too. I styled my look featuring this blouse a little differently than Sara did as I opted for black skinny ankle pants. Let’s talk about these pants for a minute because they are a great pair if you are looking for work pants.
These black skinny ankle pants offer a lot of extra stretch and are easy to slip into. Sara found these pants in Target and I loved how they looked paired with this bright yellow top! You can tuck any similar printed top into these ankle pants and have a brand new office look ready for Monday.

On Sara: Round Neck Button Back Tiered Mini Dress ($34.99) // Faux Leather Moto Jacket ($39.99) // Backless Loafers
On Me: Round Neck Button Back Tiered Mini Dress ($34.99) // Saddle Crossbody Bag ($29.99)
As with the bright yellow top, florals are SO my style! Gimme anything with a floral print on it and I am sold. Spring florals are my jam to feel girly and dressed up and this tiered dress checks off everything I’d look for in a springtime dress. Dresses with a-line cuts are also very flattering! Sara and I tried this dress on in a size medium. Our exact mini dress also comes in a black and white polka dot which is pretty and versatile for spring.
