With money so tight this year for a lot of people, I want to share some of the most affordable Christmas decorations available today. Feeling festive and decorating the home doesn’t have to cost hundreds. I am a savvy budget shopper myself which means I know where to find the best inexpensive yet trendy home decor.

Most of what I’m including in today’s post ranges from $5-$30. Seriously, you can pick up some cute gold glitter trees for $5! From decorative wall signs to cozy plush pillows, be sure to check out all the best Target and Walmart home decor favorites for the holiday season.

Affordable Coffee Table Decorations

$5: Bottle Brush Christmas Tree Decorative Figurine Set Gold – Wondershop™

Even though Christmas typically revolves around adding punches of bright red and green around the home, I wanted to add some glitter and shine this year. These tiny $5.00 gold glitter Christmas trees are positioned around the center of the living room coffee table here to add just that! The gold glitter trees are flocked with snowy white tips.

$10: Large Flocked Christmas Tree in Galvanized Bucket Decorative Figurine Silver – Wondershop™

For $10, grab one of these flocked Christmas trees to place on your coffee table to feel like you are in snowy Aspen. I’m bringing a wintry feel to the coffee table by placing one of these flocked Christmas trees behind my large white tree cones. The frosted tree branches bring any space into the winter season.

$10: Beaded Garland Red & Natural – Wondershop™

Garland beads continue on as a popular home decor trend well into the end of 2020. For the holiday season, Target has released some cheerful red and tan garland beads for $10. You can see how I chose to wrap my strand of garland around the rest of my coffee table decorations.

One of the very first items I purchased at Target to get into the holiday decorating mode were these white and gold trees! I am also including them in my office space on the shelves of my garment rack to appear behind me in upcoming YouTube videos.

$16.99: Embroidered ‘Merry’ Decor Pillow Red/White – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

Moving away from coffee table decorations and onto the rest of my living room decor! Let’s chat pillows next. I am definitely not someone who keeps the same three pillows on the couch year-round. I am a lover of seasonal pillows.

The ‘Merry’ pillow you see pictured above comes from Target through the Hearth & Hand collection this year. Just to let you know, it’s not a very large pillow, but it does the trick. I love the crisp white background with the embroidered red font. It’s a modern and classic approach to adding festive holiday pillows this year.

$10: Holiday Embroidered Merry Christmas Lumbar Throw Pillow Cream – Wondershop™

My square ‘Merry Christmas’ pillow is from last year, but I found another great option at Target. Check out this similar ‘Merry Christmas’ pillow in the reverse look with a white background and red lettering. For $10 it’s such a steal!

Console Table Christmas Decorations

Now to what I’ll call the main attraction – the entryway console table! I’ve had a blast working on decorating this area of the house this month. From collecting wall signs to finding the perfect flocked garland, I think the console table looks festive as possible.

$16: Wooden Christmas Signs 

Somehow I managed to find a super inexpensive wooden sign that says ‘Merry’ on it for just $5.00! I am searching all over Walmart’s website to find my exact sign, but until then check out this farmhouse-inspired sign for $16 and these festive $12 hanging signs from Target. 

$25: Walmart 9 ft. Sterling Pine Artificial Garland with Pine Cones, Red Berries

While out hunting down for the perfect flocked garland, I stumbled upon a huge selection inside my local Walmart.

The prices for flocked garland definitely range from $15 and up. I was happy to find a reasonably priced flocked artifical garland to take home with me.

At first, I wanted to decorate our TV stand with a long snowy garland, but it blocked the TV too much. Next, I carefully moved the 9 ft. flocked garland over to the console table and positioned it in the middle of my runner. It hangs off the console table because it’s so long, but I enjoy the look of it so much whenever I come home!

$20: Holiday Advent Calendar with Wreath – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

I remember growing up and having a huge hanging advent calendar to count down the days until Christmas Day.

This is a grown-up version of a fun count down calendar complete with a tiny festive wreath to mark down the days until Christmas morning arrives. You can lay your calendar up against the wall or hang it up depending on how you prefer to show off this cute decor item.

$15: Knit Striped Monogram Christmas Stocking – Wondershop™

Both Brian and I have our own festive red monogrammed stockings that I hang on the console table drawers. Target has my favorite stockings each year and I’ve held onto these for the past 2 years now!

$25: Large Plush Snowman Decorative Figurine White – Wondershop™

How adorable are these plush snowmen!? Last year, we purchased two snowmen and have kept them safe in one of our spare closets. I couldn’t wait to set them up underneath the console table this year. Thankfully, Target has brought these white snowmen back with hats and scarves for 2020 for $25.

$5: 16oz Stoneware Sleigh All Day Mug – Parker Lane

Target mugs are always affordable and have the cutest sayings on them! When I spotted this “Sleigh All Day” mug in a red and green font I had to have it for my morning cups of coffee this season.

Nespresso Vertuo Espresso & Coffee Maker

Ever since my Nespresso coffee machine arrived at my front door it’s been such a blessing!

Especially during the first few weeks of the quarantine in March, I could not imagine life without this coffee machine on the kitchen table. Right now, the Nespresso Vertuo Espresso & Coffee Maker is on sale at QVC just in time for the holidays.

If you know someone in your life who absolutely swears by drinking a cup of coffee each morning, I’d suggest the Vertuo machine as a gift idea. My sister has this exact coffee machine as an early Christmas gift from me and she’s been using it every morning!
