Chanel first brought out dad sandals in 2020. These sandals have Velcro straps and adjustable slingbacks. We have Target to thank for releasing an affordable version of these $2,000 sandals! Since I also don’t personally wear a lot of black in my wardrobe I opted for the white pair. These Target sandals have gold hardware and easy to adjust Velcro straps.

2. Woven Sandals

Another popular trendy shoe style for summer? Woven sandals! You can find a practical pair of woven two-band sandals at Target for a great price. Not sure if you’ve seen the fisherman sandals trending again, but that’s a popular and stylish take on a woven sandal.

3. Raffia Platform Sandals

Platform sandals are a popular shoe style for the spring and summer. When you add a raffia twist on a platform sandal I think it becomes the perfect shoe to wear with breezy flowy dresses. Walmart has gorgeous summer shoes available to shop right now. The shoes I have with a raffia braided detail and platform style are from Scoop at Walmart for under $50.

4. Puffy Slides

Padded soles are another trendy shoe style for summer 2023. At Target I was able to pick up a pair of neutral cream padded slides for an affordable price. A lot of designers are incorporating puffy styles into their summer collections. It’s nice to see attainable retailers like Target creating their own versions of designer shoes.

5. Braided Textured Sandals

One final trendy shoe style for the summer will be braided textured sandals. I am so excited to have a new pair of pearl padded slides to style! Pearl encrusted slides are one take on a textured sandal. Pearl details are also a huge trend for summer 2023.
