What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use for your hair? Have you heard of the brand Briogeo, yet?

This Black-owned hair care company was founded by Nancy Twine in New York City. The brand itself contains naturally derived ingredients and promotes a 6-free hair care promise where all of the products are free from silicones, sulfates, parabens, synthetic color, phthalates, and DEA.

I’ve mixed up my own hair care routine for the new year by incorporating these clean hair products by Briogeo.

Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Shampoo

The shampoo contains matcha and apple. This gentle shampoo is green-juice inspired to nourish dry ends and support hydration. Briogeo hair care delivers a generous lather in seconds. Since I also dye my hair, it’s important for me to choose hair care products with color-safe ingredients.

The Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Shampoo contains a blend of fruit and vegetable fatty acids to replenish dull, color-treated hair like mine. The scent of this shampoo isn’t overbearing, either.

For a shampoo that features clean ingredients, it provides my color-treated hair with lots of hydration to lock in my vibrant red tones for weeks.

As someone who has an oily scalp, I tend to rely solely on shampoo to remove product build-up. Only from time to time do I ever end up really using a conditioner!

The Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Kale + Apple Replenishing Conditioner contains a mix of kale, apple, and Vitamin C for the ultimate blend of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids as well as  free-radical protection.

After I apply a quarter-sized amount of the conditioner to my hair from root to shaft, it leaves my hair feels super soft! The light and refreshing kale and apple scent lingers for a bit after I rinse it out. My color-treated hair needs tons of hydration and I do feel like I achieve a new level of softness due to this conditioner from Briogeo.
