Best Summer Makeup Products 2022

During the summertime, I switch out my makeup to fit for the hotter climate. On days when I don’t want to wear a heavy layer of foundation I opt for a serum foundation from Ilia Beauty. Serum foundations and creamy bronzers are exactly what I need when it’s hot and humid outside.

Unseen Sunscreen by Supergoop!

Of course, I need to call out one of my top favorite sunscreens all of time: Unseen Sunscreen from Supergoop. The Unseen Sunscreen never has a white cast, doesn’t smell like regular sunscreen, and has a gel-like consistency. This sunscreen not only protects against the UV rays, but it primes the skin for liquid foundation, too.

ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation 

In case you missed my last beauty post, be sure to head over here to read up on my reviews of ILIA beauty products. ILIA is a clean makeup brand that I recently started to wear more of. These days I want to achieve a natural and glowy look when I am filming for YouTube or even just out to Target. I’ll apply my sunscreen and then use a foundation brush to even out this serum foundation across my face. As for color, I wear the shade “Formentera SF1” because it matches my fair complexion.

Let me share my absolute FAVORITE eyebrow pencil ever! Oh, and the best part? It’s from the drugstore and under $5 bucks! Yep! The e.l.f. Instant Lift Eyebrow Pencil allows me to draw in my eyebrows for a full day of filled-in, fluffy brows.

I use the colored end (Auburn shade) to generously fill in my sparse brows and then I use the bristles to fluff them up. Next time you find yourself wondering through the beauty section at Target, I suggest picking this inexpensive eyebrow pencil up!

Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer

Summer makeup requires the most creamy products, am I right? One cream makeup product that I wear for the summer is from Saie. The Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer has a large pan and a balmy texture. I’ll take a dense brush and dab it into the pan to pick up product.

Once on my brush, I apply a bit of the cream bronzer to the tops of my cheekbones for instant payoff. This cream bronzer blends in really beautifully within seconds. The product isn’t like my ILIA bronzer because it takes a few times to get more product onto the brush. The shade I wear is the lightest one called “Light Bronze” and the cream bronzer has a $30 price.

Saie Dew Blush Liquid Cheek Blush

Basically I want ALL the different shades of this liquid blush! For now, I have the shade Peachy. After I apply bronzer, I press this blush onto the center of my cheeks. If I need to blend it out I’ll use a stipple brush or my fingers.

I love the natural and glowy look I get after using the peachy cheek blush from Saie. The blush has a large doe-foot aplicator to help evening disperse the product, too. It seamlessly melts into my skin and leaves a fresh peach look behind.

ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette

I went into more detail on how much I love this easy, travel-friendly eyeshadow palette over in this blog post. I’ll mention it again because I can virtually get rid of any other eyeshadow palette and solely rely on this one from here on out.

ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette under $40, travel-size, and has the best cobination of shimmer and matte shades. During the day I’ll wear one of the lighter brown colors all over my eyelid for a natural look.

Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm

Want a little extra glow this summer? I suggest picking up a highlighting balm like this one from Merit. The stick takes minimal effort to glide onto your skin to create a beautiful glow! I brought this along with me on our cruise and it gave me the perfect added highlight on my cheekbones. The name “highlighting balm” also fits perfectly because it has a smooth consistency.

ILIA Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara

Another awesome makeup discovery from ILIA! The wand on this mascara makes lengthening my lashes super easy and convenient.

ILIA Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil

In the images above you’ll see my wearing the ILIA balmy gloss tinted lip oil in the color “Petals” which has a light baby pink tone. For summer months I’ll switch out from matte lipstick and into glossy lip products instead. I want to purchase more of these tinted lip oils from ILIA because they are super hydrating and look natural.
